  6. with regards to discontinuity and "reiteration" I dont know what others are doing research wise, but agree with what your saying.

     

    The concept of trees main stem becoming discontinuos is well discussed in body languge put over by Caus mattheck, green, rayner et al

     

    If you want to have a natter about this subjetc, you know I am more than willing and interested, i have my own views on this, and believe we can in time use this to our advantages

  15. Simon, ive got my first oportunity to sell your skills to a client this sunday, it is a big oak fell in hatch end, near stanmore, i shall give it my best shot, but before i do would you work in this area? No garuantees but Got your flyers so who knows!

  16. When you first make the cut, the growth stresses are relieved, and water/sap in the vessels retracts as the vessels are no longer continuous. The wood begins to dry out and depending on what cut youve made, iether woundwood (undifferentiated xylem) or callous forms, ie flush cut or collor cut respectivley. then codit in its various forms and neounces begins to form as a means of excluding dysfunction.
