Hi James. I am writing to you in response to your canadian query. Have you secured your work visa as thats the vital first step. I live and work in Whistler. You wont have much luck with tree work that late in the year as work stops in november when the snow arrives. The standard of climbing is really quite high, and you are certainly expected to work hard. There is a good number of english arborist around vancouver, and I would think with your experience this would be a good place to start. The certs dont have much value, but your knowledge and apptitude are important. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Paddy.

Hi there, after reading a few of the saw threads, I get the impression you are the man to go to for a used saw. After a 200t, do you have one for sale? Or alternatively what do you charge to recon a saw from the ground up? assuming the pot and piston are ok.

Thanks Paddy.

Hi there Tom, I am after a little help on some work at my mums place in Berwick, I need some chipping done and some stumps ground out, wondered if you could give me an idea of price, its about half an hour of chipping, and I think 10 stumps, ranging from 15dbh, up to around 80dbh. Most are small though. Its all conifer, some scots, some spruce and a little cypress. I would think its a couple of hours grinding, no need to back fill as need to fill with soil as in the lawn, and I will take care of all tidy up. Its just off the A1 towards Coldstream. Access is great. If you want to take a look aswell thats ok.
I look forward to hearing from you.
