  1. Looking for a good, experienced subby climber, on occasional basis. Small, friendly arb outfit, based in Christchurch, Dorset. Decent rates paid for a decent climber. Call Andrew, 07921 950723.
  2. Small business looking for occasional subby climber with own climbing kit. Must have tickets, experience and ability to recognise things that can brake!! Only a small outfit so must be prepared to get stuck in with a bit of grounding too when needs be... Decent day rates for a decent worker, based Christchurch. Call Andrew, 07921 950723.
  3. Yes, it does look like it could be some sort of juvenile sulphur/brick? tuft. Only thing that throws me is that it was growing in a border with no obvious signs of deadwood. Do they like this habitat too?
  4. thanks, that was the sort of direction that the book was sending me. I'll go and check them out again. Thanks again, Andrew.
  5. hello guys, these have been popping up in the garden and i cannot manage to id them properly from my mushroom book. Can anyone help out as it would be good to id them properly before the little one heads up there. The caps are upto 12-15mm across and ar 50-80mm in height, they are yellow gilled and growing in clumps in a border. yellow stemmed with browny caps. thanks, andrew.

  8. Hello all, Just as per the title really - Got a small job for a friend this week, probably a couple of loads of conifer chip but a bit of a distance from home so looking for somewhere nearby to save a bit of time and money. Be greatful if anyone knows of anywhere. Thanks, Andrew.
  9. caught the lower leg on a pair these with c protection a few years back. The lining just burst open with nothing clogging in the chain. Luckily the affected area way covered by my trusty haix protectors. Not impressed with the trousers at all..
  10. Hi there, looks like I've got a couple of quiet weeks ahead of me so if anyone's looking for some extra help within 15 - 20 miles of High Wycombe please give us a shout. Experienced & qualified climber, van, tools, £5m pl. I'll be interested in any sort of work, climbing, hedge cutting, dragging, tea making etc. Just need something to keep me out of trouble and the pennies coming in... Thanks, Andrew. 07921 950723
  11. Hi, new to this so hope this works... I agree with Peter, I've had my 441 with 20 inch bar for a couple of years and think it's a great saw for logging up and felling but a touch heavy to be using all day for everything. I keep the trusty 260 old on hand for most little stuff and around the chipper. (Less chain to re sharpen too..)
