  8. tell ya what.. think i need to go back to GCSE chemistry, everything i have learned so far all boils down to chemical reactions between EVERYTHING! apparently the inhibitors of the enzyme xanthine oxidase present in squarrosa are being used clinically to reduce the side effects of gouty athritis..!! isn't chemistry brill
  9. and for a lamen like me (I am learning slowly), how would the theory be investigated? would you have to take the tree down and ring it up to see what is happening?

  12. whats going on here then? took these today on site, drive past this cherry loads but never actually get out and look at it, only reason i saw this was because i had to clear leaves off the grass!?!? Its quite a girty cherry and has had "work" (not by me haha) done on it before..
  13. Yep, first semester.! 1 assignment done, 3 to go, 2 tests done, 6 to go and one 2hour exam all before Xmas:thumbup: patience and lots of Reading is definately the key!

  15. don't put yourself out for little ole me i should be finding this out myself - when i'm not reading about soil cohesion/adhesion, magnesium deficiencies, pH levels, prokaryotic/eukaryotic cells etc etc etc
  16. How big was the bar as the tree don't look that big because of the axe but my eyes and scale could be well off:blushing:

  18. it was like black furry velvet with tiny bubble like silvery things shimmering, well i thought it was pretty!!
