Unless you have some experience or have someone to show you, I would not recommend this.A tweek to far when setting the H screw can result in the engine running too lean and seizing,and most dealers are happy to retune after a few tanks for nothing. If you have worked on 2 strokes before then fine but if you have no experience then best to leave to the experts. And yes the dealer will run and set up the saw before handing it over to you!

I have a small plot of woodland and most of the trees had ivy on them. Cut about a foot out of the ivy and left to die ,seems to have worked. When I go for a walk through the trees I pull off any smaller stuff when I see it regrowing up from the ground.

Totally agree. I know someone who is having their house repossessed in 12 days , they have re mortgaged their house 4 times in 15 years and spent it on nice holidays the latest mobile phones and flashy cars, and in that time looked down at everybody else because they didnt have the flash cars or best holidays. He phoned me ,almost crying , wondering how he is going to tell his parents but more importantly his daughter that in 2 weeks time they have nowhere to live. Should the mortgage company have kept allowing them to keep borrowing?

I should have put that I have had large loans from the bank in question in the past so I suppose that I do have a good track record of paying money back. But that does change the current state of the account.

Yes me. Just been offered an unsecured loan up to £5000 pre agreed. This from a bank that I have an account in that is overdrawn and only has a benefit cheque paid into each month! It doesnt take a brain surgeon to work out there is no way this loan could be serviced.

Its already happening here! Hedgerows being scavenged for fire wood. Mainly hippy types (sorry for any a'fence to hippy types) think its OK to pull out any rails; hurdles and layed hedging to keep their fire going leaving holes big enough to fit a travelers bus through let alone a flock of sheep! Ed of rant. I just seem to be meting more and more people that seem to think wood is free and belongs to nature not the land owner so its alright to just help yourself.

I have used one of these tools and the do work quite well once you get the hang of it. But I would of thought that a tractor driven post de- barking machine with some sort of feed table would have been a better idea. They quite happily take the diameter and make nice round gate posts, strainers and fencing posts but I would think you would have to support the ends as it feeds through.

I wasnt trying to be smart but I have had quite a few of these saws come into my workshop with a lot of terminal faults,for example 2 of them have had the flywheel spin on the crank shearing of the aluminum key due to the fact that the taper fit between the parts was so bad. I know you dont have much money for a better saw but if you can get a good bit back from the saw while it is still running it is better than getting nothing or little back when its toast. I do sometimes have good second hand saws to sell on,not much in at the moment,but would be happy to try and help you out with a reasonably priced good saw which would last you for a good time. Perhaps there is someone else here that has something their not using much they would be willing to sell you. Sorry for the one liner earlier I just didnt want to see you get caught with a money pit.

Stick it on Ebay get most of your money back and put it towards a better saw.
