Hi
Thanks for all the comments
I had looked at stem injection but don't know why I ruled it out.
Do you do it at a particular time of year or just whenever?
Thanks

Hello
I am looking in to the possibility of using Ecoplugs on standing Rhododndron.
I would drill in to the side of the stump and insert plug, Ecoplugs website says they are better used from the side, so thats good
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with using Ecoplugs this way and if so, what time of year, how many, size of stump and so on.
Thanks for your help

Hello
we are thinking of buying the above and wondered if anyone had any opinions on it or if anyone had one near us in Fife, Scotland?
The main purpose will be to pull out wood with a forwarding trailer, but also used for its PTO and general tractor duties?
Thanks very much

Hello
I need to hire a wood mixer with or without operator for milling 180m2 of larch cladding on site.
Possibly want to use it as an exercise for my apprentices so will need full insurance and RA in place.
Let me know if anyone has any contacts
Thanks in advance

Hello
I have a Portawinch PCW3000 and am currently using Teufeleburger 12mm sirius bull rope with it, this means you currently get 4 wraps around the capstan which is great as it equals more friction.
my problem is that it wears out very quickly and at £70 for 50m its kinda expensive
Does anyone else have any other alternative that might last longer or is cheaper, it would need to be around the 12mm range to get the 4 wraps?
Thanks in advance

Hello
I'm looking at cutting some Larch cladding and wondered if there is a need to dry it before and if so how long for 22mm x 200mm boards and 22mm x 50mm batons?
I am also wondering how important it is to have the heartwood of larch rather than the sapwood for cladding?
Thanks in advance

Hello
Thanks for all your comments relating to milling particularly as this is what i asked and am after.
i like the idea manual oiler on the husky but sounds like the Stihl slightly wins.
i will price up and make a decision from there.
Thanks

Hello
I am thinking of buying an alaskan mill capable of milling boards up to 40" with a 46" bar but most work will be done on a 36" bar for 30" boards.
I cannot decide between the 2 big saws, money is not a problem as they are so similarly priced.
Any help would be great.

Hello
If tieing your prussik loops or eye to eye from friction cord, how long does the tail need to be?
Is there a set rule or just an inch or 2 x rope diameter or something?
Thanks again
