  1. she left at 10am, i told her i would be on site for about 11am, when she got back at 2pm she called. she did say she had no idea it would of been done so quickly, but cant believe it has been done so quickly and tidely, and its encouraged her to do some more around the garden.:001_smile:i am not going to slow down for some elses hang ups to me making money, i priced a job yesterday. i told the guy it would be 350, he did the whole. 'oh my god' thats so expensive. i said for 100 quid i will fell it and leave it in his garden:ohmy: i told him i would have it done in 2 hrs for him, he spoke to his wife, bit my hand off and go stuck in. he couldnt pay me quick enough and was all over the mog asking questions, he couldnt believe how much work was involved and was glad he got me as he had a cheaper quote already from someone who wasnt recomended:001_cool:
  2. i dont want those customers mate, i did todays job in about 2 hrs. 720plus vat, the lady called me tonight delighted with the job, i have to go round tomorrow to get more work and paid:001_cool: she asked before we started if we needed in for power:ohmy:she has went to work and come back job done:001_smile:
  3. i did that tree today from start to finish in about 40mins like i said and i charged 350plus vat, if i had to cut and chuck then handball it would of taken about 4-5 hrs and we would of been knackered by the time we finished and of done more damage

  9. its the whole weight issue thing like charlie said, i looked into it years ago but the money involved was bonkers for what you actually got. if you add up the cost of a landrover then the trailer, you would be cheaper with a small truck and crane or small mog set up:001_cool:there is a member on here b101uk, (i think) he knows everything there is too know about weights, towing regs etc. i even thought about getting a f150, but that was a no go er as well

  11. any lifter is better than handballing, even rollig big chunks onto a trailer like rupe is excellent.

  15. i take it they were long long branches, hold your arm out mat and make circles with it. have you ever played in big low limbs on beeches that are really long, they dont really go up and down, they go around and around. it like tall larches swirling in the wind, they twist out and snap over, similar to the pick you put up a few months ago

  18. great pic there dave, never seen anything like that before with the old pruning cut, arnoldbussanger explained to me what causes that type of split, you need to stand up and make circles with your arms, i call him mr windmill now. cant remember the fancy name he gave it though.
