  1. most of my work is garden blitzes and conifer bashing, so it isnt surprising i get bored, but it is regular money and keeps me working close to home..loads of contractors are fighting over the bigger tree work in surrounding areas so i dont want to work for nothing and wait ages for pay

  6. tell me more lee, i have tried buying big kit, which is great for a while then i get bored, freelance climbing then get bored, taking on big jobs then get bored...i have more than i ever thought i would asset wise, and i have money in the bank but i strugle to find enjoyment in anything...that is why the last couple of shows have been great, meeting new guys and having a laugh, this site is a godsend for me because it is more like a hobby now, i used to get lost in my work, grafting all the time, but my back cant take too much, my life is my family now and that is all i want to do, spend time with my boys, but self employment always gets in the way, we go a run in the van and end up looking at work, i go to the cafe or shops, and i meet folk that ask me about work..that is how i earn a living because i just go and do it, not messing about, i can sometimes switch off but not very often..i need some more hypno relaxing i think, it has been a while:001_smile:

  9. i cant be bothered getting up most mornings, it is a struggle..this job doesnt excite me anymore, thats why i have to keep getting new bits of kit to make me interested..but at the weekends i cant wait to get up, i am like a little kid..i think its because i am relaxed and looking forward to doing something..saying that i didnt get up till just now.. lol

  11. we dont think alexander has asthma but when he used to get a cold he could never shake it, it was stuck in his chest, the brown inhaler has a steroid in it, he got better almost overnight and his appetite is great now....hope we are not derailing too much here
  12. he got that aswell, but isnt there paracetamol in nurofen:confused1:
  13. i never knew that dave, alexander has inhalers, the blue and the brown one, only gets the brown one at bedtime..they wont diagnose asthma until they are 10 we were told but it really helped him as he was always coughing and snuffily at bedtime..BUT when he was tiny he was always full of nurofen to try and help him:ohmy:he never coughs at all now and hardly gets colds but he hasnt had nurofen for ages...i wonder if that is what was causing most of the problem:thumbdown:

  17. the one handed shot from the cherry picker says it all, ouch!!i hate the 2 sided hedge cutters, i only work woth the single blade hand held ones, i find them easier to use on your wrists and arms and 50%less chance of cutting yourself..hope it heals quick jeff..easy done at the end of a long day
