    if you have plenty of grunt then the tractor can run at lower revs, but still turn the shaft twice as fast as it would be on the 540rpm. i have never worked a processor so dont really know how much power they take, but if you said a 15hp will power it then 70hp should do it on the 1000 speed ok, saves on fuel.

    i did a course once on shoe fitting and feet, john i can tell that someone else did them up for you, the tying is offset and it has a womans finish. do you live with your gran??

    it is all getting burnt tomorrow i think, and the firewood ran off site, the stem is getting burnt on site around the stump with all the brash

    the ones i had only had one ring on i think jamie, so there was loads of spare wood at the ends to peel off and split, maybe thats what was wrong. mmmmm. cheers

    just play about with the revs and see where it runs the best, no point running the balls of a tractor if you dont need to, but if the tractor isnt going hard enough then the machine wont be running as good as it could..

    the edges just disintegrate jamie, if you are off target when hitting them in, i alaways use a splitting mall,(sledehammer one end, axe head the other) and when have been thumping away for ages with something horrible in a tricky bit, it idesnt take long to get fatigued, so my aim maybe isnt as good as it should be, the edges just crumble and then split. i think they are crap, i have used then a couple of times then through them away, the plastic ones are the way forward i reckon. yeah the lime was good to cut, but you experts out there will of noticed i hit some crap and the saw started running off, but i knew i would run through about level and i gave myself some room for error when i started as i knew there would be crap somewhere..

    i hate the wooden ones, after 10 minutes or trying to hit in wedges on a banking doing huge elms, acuracy isnt always that good, the wooden ones fall apart, the steel ones are heavy as hell, if you hit them you loose the edge and sometimes teeth on the saw, then you usually loose them in the undergrowth when they fall off the butt, the plastic orange ones are excellent...nice and light and bright and as you say, if you give them a tickle it doesnt matter:thumbup:

    thats the first time i have used them i think, what diference from the old steel ones, and i hate those crappy wooden/alloy ones that fall apart.

    get the stretch airs joe, they are awesome. they will last you a couple of years i reckon no sweat. comfiest boots i have ever owned, expensive but well worth it

    dont know guys, she is quite a heavy wee thing.tbh. i dont have tha manual for it yet, i havent bothered picking it up. she is on her first hire tomorrow, earning the big bucks as wee speak lol
