  1. egs what insurance commpany are you using?
  2. I would keep all the timber nice big and chunky, the reason to use wet timber is because its easer to work with and will not kill your tools, lay out all your timber get them on level trestles, once you feel happy with it start to scribing using plumb bobs levels and if done correct you will have the perfect joint, but keep all the tenon’s and mortise’s simple, and put in wind braces, most important when drilling holes for the tenon peg hole make sure the hole is drilled slightly offset from the mortise peg hole.

  9. hi all seen this little machine working in scotland in small woodlands in and around towns works well but boy its not worth its money, the 3rd image you see is from schmallenberg west germany KWF forestry show and on that alstor is the man who made it, hade a very interesting talk with him it all started with him making one for himself in his garage it is a simple build they use old volvo gear boxes not a complicated design so i dont know how it cost so much. i like vimek better its better made cost a lot but you are getting you moneys worth, one of my friends has the small 620 minimaster vimek in scotland and is doing it up good little machine for small scale thinning and work that has to be done without smashing up the site things like working on SSSI that sort of work.
  10. hey nice work you two, good to use the wood once you have cute it down, done some similar work using a portable woodmizer then building a timber frame building from sawn timber. this is a pic of what we did thanks paul
