As a member of the team you will play a key role in maintaining and improving this dynamic garden. This role could offer the right candidate the chance to become involved with RBGE’s education, conservation, consultancy, and capacity building work in Scotland and overseas. The Arboretum team is responsible for maintaining and developing the tree collection. The work is managed seasonally; the teams work also includes general horticultural tasks. We are looking for someone with proven climbing skills but who is also willing to be involved in general horticultural work. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a new skill set or build upon existing horticultural skills. We are looking for someone who can represent the standards and values that are synonymous with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. A good communicator you will be expected to work safely and efficiently alongside colleagues, students and volunteers. You will take responsibility for the quality of your work.
