  1. Is there an app out yet that will make my phone ring with loads of people wanting tree work done? I would pay 59p for that at the moment....
  2. I've lent one to a mate to see if he likes it. I was going to ask him for £75. Good nick.
  3. Jesus, hadn't noticed that! Must have been really bored today. Or left the cursor on 'reply' while I was watching Youporn....
  4. My work is so dodgy that most amateur users are better than me anyway. I only wear the PPE to look cool.
  5. I would happily throw every carabiner I've got onto grass from 30 feet. And probably have done a few times when things aren't going well....
  6. If you don't want it mate, I'll have it....
  7. 29 years! God that makes me feel old! (I am). Lost touch with it really, but used to love watching the Dolphins with Marino and the 49'ers with Montana respectively calling the tune. 29 years! Where did that go?
  8. Only when I've got my cam cream on mate.
  9. Absolute class. Canadian Furnace Cedar will live in my mind (and business plan!) forever.
  10. Both fails. No naked females in shot. Rule change 412.12 paragraph a13 Sorry fellas.
  11. If you are going to work ddrt anyway, why not use SRT to access (totally agree about difficulty in certain trees of isolating TIP), strop on, and fix cambium saver for ddrt, which would cut out any risk in failure of SRT line? Would add about 30 seconds. I get SRT, I don't get working ddrt from SRT after accessing. Be pretty boring if we all climbed the same though. Ontario looks COLD bro!
  12. Horses for courses indeed Rob. Rich uses a Sugoi, which has quite a large handle. I have caught my Zubat a few times, but never badly enough to cut my rope. There are a few cons, but the pros outweigh them for me. Did you try it on your left leg Rich? Crossover draw stylee? Might appeal to your inner gangsta?
  13. You know what these newbies are like Rob, ropes all over the place like spaghetti. I think the Big Lad just got a bit confused.
  14. Be strong for your Mam buddy, and look after yourself.
  15. Not many people try them and go back to hanging a saw from their harness. Wouldn't be without mine.
  16. Quality. Your groundie doesn't exactly dress to be seen, does he?
  17. You said it buddy. Cracking work though. If someone wants to pay for that it might as well be done well. Nice pics Stevie, feel fitter just looking at them!
  18. I don't like this thread. I'm a lover, not a fighter.
  19. Good advice Mick. Lots of small companies like mine would never take on someone full time, but use self-employed climbers and groundies as and when. I get a lot of enquiries from ex-forces lads. Do the army encourage blokes coming out to go in to tree surgery? If they do, it's about time someone pointed out to them what the job situation is like in the industry in general. Bare in mind that January and February are usually the quietest months in the arb calendar, and things generally pick up in the spring. People are simply not ,out enjoying their gardens' at this time of year. Good luck with it, whatever.
  20. Has Armor Prus been CE approved yet? Seeing as how loads of us use it (as hitch cord, not 'accessory line'), and have posted the pics to prove it....
  21. Bars, clubs, kebab shops, taxi ranks....
  22. No ladders allowed Lorry. That will be our next course....
  23. You been spying on me again Stevie? I'm cool wid dat.....
