  1. Just buy some Tom Cruise boots with massive heels, problem solved. You need to think outside the box sometimes fellas.
  2. Yes mate. AKU Crestas, Salewa MTN GTX, La Sportiva GTX and similar are all great tree climbing boots.
  3. Cheers mate. I got the tip from my mam (retired teacher). Stella may be reassuringly expensive, but it's cheaper than Calpol.
  4. I lived 25 miles away from my high school in rural Northumberland. Missed weeks sometimes in heavy snow. Didn't do me a lot of harm, passed my three r's and that. I wouldn't take my kids on holiday in term time if I could help it, but wouldn't hesitate if it suited us (and them) once in a while.
  5. This thread is irrelevant to me. My kids are home-educated.
  6. £2 sounds pricey, but what if every customer did it? As a one-off I'd let it slide, but I wouldn't want to encourage it. What grates on me more is pubs charging silly money for soft drinks. It's hardly an incentive when you're driving.
  7. I have the Invoice2Go app on my iPhone which I used to find really quick and convenient. However, I'm now experiencing glitches where I email the invoice, it says it's sent, but it's actually not. I always cc myself and my wife, which confirms this. Logging in and sending from my wife's phone is ok, but it's a pain typing a covering note every time explaining why the invoice has been sent by a horticultural recruitment agency. Any ideas?
  8. Showed this vid to a sawsmith mate today. He was impressed. Even if it will only work on reasonably straight grained stuff, the speed is impressive, especially considering the price. We both agreed we'd prefer it table-mounted for a more ergonomic working height, but it wouldn't be too hard to knock something up. I'd happily trial one Justin. Feel free to pop one down with a couple of slabs of Peroni on Saturday. I'll get Ruth to make the settee up.
  9. Good wreckage mate. Loving the 'thigh death grip'! How do you rate the RW/ZZ combo?
  10. Great actor. He'll be missed. RIP Alan. 'And cancel Christmas!'
  11. That's a good way of approaching it I reckon.
  12. Have you discussed money with him Olly? He might be well happy to give you £200 for it. I think it's a good vid, I've ripped it off YouTube and my web guy reckons he can have it on my web site tomorrow. Nice one mate!👍
  13. I think the spec is a sad reflection of the times we are living in. It's utterly pathetic.
  14. Slick stuff Jesse. Bet handling those chains was a bit fresh. You specken ze Deutsch?
  15. A sad day for music. RIP David.

    Battery

Time I'd jumped the Tranny and limped it to my mates garage both batteries read 10.6v. Didn't seem worth asking a new alternator to perform miracles.

    Battery

Just had to put two new batteries in my Tranny, 10 years old. New alternator as well unfortunately.
  18. Alright stranger! Don't need any of the kit, but good luck with it mate, and with whatever path you go down. Be good to catch up again at some point.
  19. Jon you're built like a tank. Bollocks to medical charts etc., I reckon if you dropped below 15st you'd look ill, not healthy.
  20. Jon is aiming to be just over 8' to reach optimum BMI.
