  1. Anyone seen these yet? A bit different, for sure!
  2. Sounds good so far Joe. Makes the 150 look quite chunky! Do you reckon you should drill the exhaust cover first to avoid the melting?
  3. You're right, I'd have the the 560 up before then.
  4. I'm guessing at least 7".
  5. Mick's bang on with that summation I reckon. Wrong tree in the wrong place.
  6. Hahahahaha! You weren't really feeling the love for that tree were you?
  7. Skills JDavis. Ian, when they said 'the Clematis is to be retained' I would have looked at my diary and said I'd just realised I was fully booked for the next 55 years.
  8. It's not off topic at all Will. Access is just so much easier, even if you ever only use SRT for that bit your body will thank you. Switch to ddrt for work. Brew? Whizz down, choke up and SRT up again. For me it just gives more options.
  9. Hahahahaha, in 5 years time you'll be thinking 'Jesus I wish I'd listened to that Geordie monkey. I weigh 17 stone now, this spiking is bollocks!'.
  10. I think watching someone who is good at working a tree SRT, and getting some pointers off them helps a lot. Dan Curtis talked me through getting right out to some oak tips at Jonesies show a few years back, and it was pretty easy.
  11. The way I see it too many folk get mixed up in the either/or thing. If SRT helps me on a job I use it, if it doesn't I don't. Nothing wrong with a bit of bisexuality.
  12. Did you leave a line set for next time?
  13. Do they come with a free t-shirt? You know the ones, 'I'm an ARBORIST, I do a job that 99% of the population can't do. Including my groundies.'
  14. Some tree! How do you set the line Reg, Big Shot?
  15. I've had it for ages, and always notice, as the prefix after the code gives me a good idea which area the call is coming from. I like talking to these people, as I have no friends anymore.
  16. Remember you can keep your prices the same for domestic, but they include the VAT. A £480 job still costs Mrs. Miggins £480, but it's actually £400 + VAT. Yes, you're down on what you would have earned, but remember you can now reclaim VAT on nearly everything you have to buy for the business, and you can back-date some of it. Don't ever try playing silly buggers with the VAT people though. They literally have more powers than the police and will tear you a new one without anaesthetic if you even look at them funny.
  17. Climber had lentil curry and too much booze last night.
  18. There's so many variables each one will be different. I never had much pain from when I woke up, and I'm off the meds now.
  19. I think, as I know most of you think, it is great for football. Playing tidy stuff as well. I'd love it if they win it, love it.
  20. I've always supported Leicester really. My Newcastle allegiance was just a front.
  21. Is there an Echo in here.... Looking forward to seeing the 2510 in the flesh, pardon the turn of phrase!
  22. It's sort of private, no A&E department, but they do take on some NHS stuff and I was lucky enough to bag a slot.
  23. Afternoon list, but I didn't get into theatre till about 4.15. Woke up about 6.10, picked up and away at about 7.30 Very, very efficient hospital.
