  1. Dairy farmers said the same thing mate. If more money doesn't start coming up the chain the job's knackered. The money can only filter down from the end user, and everyone wants everything cheap.
  2. You need to commentate on what you're up to mate. That's what sets the good vids apart. You could do some golden stuff.
  3. From memory Tony was pretty much cleaned out by thieves. He's some climber, and knows his stuff. He moved to Bulgaria where he's now happily living the dream on a smallholding with woodland. I miss his input, we had some cracking rows but he's a top guy.
  4. Hahahahaha!👍 Please put more pics of it up on more jobs mate, it really does look very handy, even more so if it will load into a Transit up ramps.
  5. Never had one, I also think they're pretty redundant. I've never had a tree I couldn't cope with with a 36" on my 660, and that bar stays in the lockup for months sometimes. It wears a 25" mostly, and my 440 used to run that ok. I get where you're coming from mate, but I can see a load of gardeners and farmers getting out of their depth pretty quickly if you hire a 121cc saw willy nilly.
  6. Very tidy setup Rhys. How's your climbing coming along? You were a bit inexperienced at Jonesies show last time I saw you, you seemed to want to get down from the comp tree as quickly as possible. I would have lasted at least 10 minutes longer.
  7. Go for it mate. Age is just a number. I didn't even kick a ball till I was 63, but with the right attitude I've made it to the top. Yours sincerely, H. Kane
  8. Hahahahahaha Mick! Too much Stefan, too much! You make Silky Fox look like a manic depressive!
  9. That's just it. There's a lot of people trying to run before they can walk in this industry. If poor little Jonny can't afford a big boys saw perhaps he should try grafting till he can. By then he might know how to use it properly as well.
  10. Tracked chippers would be good. I'm not sure about big saws, which I've seen requested on FB. If you haven't got bigger saws you shouldn't be doing bigger trees IMO, but I suppose you could say that about most hire kit to a degree.
  11. I'm happy to test one for you. Usual address.
  12. Work just gets in the way of boozing and shagging. That can't be good for anyone.
  13. I'm a bit gutted, loved his early stuff. Weird, but truly talented. RIP
  14. SRT-tastic stuff with the Oak limb Benny Boy. Were you top-tied or base anchored? Couldn't see on my little screen. It's jobs like that where SRT is most useful for me.
  15. I'll watch it later if there is absolutely nothing on TV tonight. Even reality TV. And soaps.
  16. Jesus! It's not meant for carving titanium!
  17. Apologies Hesslemount, I started that. As Gray Git says, try Mike at Treekit. I really rate Pfanner kit, not cheap, buts it's always comfy and wears well for me.
  18. What sort of cash are we looking at for the base unit?
  19. You don't need an O licence for that. My mate said.
  20. I'm pretty sure Joe Newton has got something like that.
  21. SE London mate. It probably was an Apache. Fully armed.
