  1. I personally think you've been just a touch harsh with the lower left limb on the tree on the left, but generally work I would be happy to call my own. They look great from my house. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Too fast mate, that's where.... Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. One of my favourite tunes! Top stuff, some of it indicates the limitations of harvesters. What was winching the roadside? Forestry has always been a hard game. When it became mechanised, and that wasn't that long ago, I think hand cutting rates were screwed up. The mill can't tell if the the tree was oversized at the butt, too hairy, an edger or on a banking. Volume calculation will never tell the graft you've put in, the price for the stick is the price. I can see a point in the future when hand cutters earn decent money again, simply because they're aren't enough good ones coming through now. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Hold on Edam. You took the job knowing the pay. When you've proved yourself you sit down and renegotiate if you feel undervalued. Arb is a totally undervalued industry, if you don't like it leave. I'm not trying to be harsh, but the money is irrelevant for the job we do, we aren't really in it for the money. I've never gone skiing. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Stihl is the dogs, had mine for years. My only gripe is the anti-spill petrol spout is too wide for my 540, but my mates newer one fits it. Like Dan I burnt my last Husky can, a very satisfying moment. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. I don't know why they don't stick even a cheapo pressed cover on it you could pop off (or replace!) in seconds. It would finish the look off, and certainly wouldn't add more than a few quid. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Same as the 125's Ian, which is fine, although you'd think it wouldn't be. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  16. You're a real bunch of bastards. I will never play rugby or football or get to box with my son because I'm an older dad. Possibly because I only have 3 daughters, like. But there you go. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. You is all hatin'. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. I hear you Matt. I used a clasp, Physio, ice packs, anti inflams, and rest when possible. Most importantly I ditched the things that were causing it. The injection was the final piece in the jigsaw for me. Pretty much a last resort, though, and not a great idea to have many. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  20. Worked very well on my elbow, but you need to get on top of what initially caused it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Good thread Tom, I'll be following it with interest. I've fancied a Nao for a while but my old Tikka is still going strong. Sounds like a totally different beast though. Also worth mentioning gadgets to avoid. Don't buy your kids the flashing submersible disco light show from Firebox. It's not waterproof, which the batteries didn't like. They did refund me promptly though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  23. Back cut too high, undercut on Humboldt is wonky. You're lucky you're still alive. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. [emoji106] Tell your lads we'll be in The Woolpack at Warehorne tomorrow at dark o'clock. It's about 5 minutes from the Rare Breeds. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. Try the Rare Breeds Centre at Woodchurch mate, about 5 miles from Tenterden. They were after loads of chip for their Christmas grotto. 01233 861493.
