  1. Close call apparently Mick, operator got the jib movement wrong. The lads got away with it.
  2. This was the Sequoia Tree Care boys last week with another crane removal. Not much margin for error with expensive targets galore and a tight dropzone. A few minor issues with the driver putting too much tension on some of the picks, but they got it done in the day. Danny Mac climbing.

  4. Being parked and unoccupied wouldn't seem to put off some off the ambulance chaser firms who ring me Kev!
  5. I've done all that crazy surfing malarky in the past, I wouldn't bother now. Risk vs. Reward. To my mind if people want massive hedges that's fine, but they should be be willing to both pay and provide access for HSE compliant techniques to maintain them. God I'm getting old....
  6. Neil, admitting you are wrong on Arbtalk is extremely bad form. You should ban yourself for 7 days and have a good long think about your actions.

  8. I've just had a thought. Since I already own some Snickers trousers and a tool belt, can I stop 20% from everyone's wages in future and keep it for my Stella fund? No one would know, would they? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  12. Investment in kit is obviously highly important. Equally, if not more so, is getting away from lowballing 12 quote customers. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. You're 100% correct Brendan, but remember I've just knocked a lump off my final tax bill. I'm a bandit, just not a greedy one! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. I went through this a while back. A groundworks company we've done plenty of work for and have a great relationship with told me that going forward CIS would be unavoidable. It was definitely enabling works for construction. I reluctantly signed up. I just load 20% onto the quote.[emoji106] They're not exactly a bundle of laughs on the phone are they Kevin? I reckon they have a bouncer in their office who punches anyone in the face if he hears the slightest tone of happiness in their voice. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  20. Horsey folk are particular because of toxic stuff like laurel, yew and sycamore. Huck's take on it is the same as mine.
