  1. Don’t get me wrong, we give ANY nesting birds due consideration, regardless of species, and have pulled off loads of jobs because of them. Gone back to finish at my expense. It’s just the right thing to do, and customers have always been onside. Anno, you’re being a bit pedantic here. I have found live nests now (squabs, not eggs) in every single calendar month, including January. To halt operations because there MAY be nesting birds in ADJACENT trees is utterly ludicrous. Well done on a timely removal fella, that tree was shot. I hear you on the x-ray specs thing!
  2. You is well racist.
  3. I copyrighted that over 10 years ago Swinny. Reg will be hearing from my legal people.
  4. Aye, those things have been responsible for plenty of my ‘fresh boxers required’ moments....
  5. Class Reg. Fair bit of up and down to set the rigging there. SRT for the win! Props to your groundies, some smooth stuff there. Hope you’re well mate.

We used to call them ‘John Waynes’!

As above. Dickies do some good ones and there’s some in the Englebert Strauss catalogue, available online.
  8. If we didn't work on trees within 10m of trees that contain nesting birds we wouldn't get much done. Ever.

I never signed up but they used to send me emails to try and entice me to. 'Mr. Trumpington from Oak Road in Eastbourne would like his box hedge cut'. Eastbourne is 90 minutes away from me. Fail.

I thought it was a dating site for dogs.
  11. That's what happens when you park in the drop zone on one of Tom's jobs.
  12. I hate working in shitholes like that. I hope you kept your tools well locked up.
  13. There have been threads on set ups like this before. It’s a shite idea, and it won’t work commercially. Pulling over a tarp with 3 cube of chip on it? Post the vid, please. Not what you wanted to hear Vesp, but they are the facts, in my experience. And I’m probably the best climber around, and I’m double hard, and a real grafter. Did I mention I’m very handsome?
  14. I would have a look at it before making any decision. Network Rail/Pikies/Fuckwits who engage them in the first place aren’t a great combination for my temper.
  15. Luckily I’m all three, I just don’t tell people.
  16. I don't get the targets thing. Surely it should be 100%? No one would be happy if the law said the target was to catch a certain amount of murderers every year would they? You'd like to think they would at least try to catch them all.
  17. Good point Mick. That's how my reductions are usually described.
  18. Mine is actually a medical problem. I have bulimia and alzheimers. I keep eating loads then forgetting to throw up.
  19. They are useful get out of jail tools to me, not a substitute for a proper tool kit. My topsaw and a cheapo Leatherman copy have come in handy a few times mind. I had an original Leatherman which was really nice, if a bit bulky, but I lost a mate's dads cheapo copy on a job and gave him mine as a temporary replacement, which seems to have turned permanent....
  20. Impressive rigging, no doubt, but a lot of it seemed more for the benefit of the ground crew and stacking the timber? It looked like those trees could just have been wrecked out then tidied up with a loader.
  21. Quite Mark. I think young Deborah has a promising career in politics ahead of her.
  22. Dartford is much shorter. It’s bound to be cheaper. Idiot.
