  1. 32 degrees!!!! (In a park next to Heathrow) Dinner break...time to get the chainsaw pants off.....AND COOL DOWN!!

  4. quite the opposite OMT....just finished reducing/tipping back fro telephone wires and property an Acacia ...in my vest and shorts with a Silky!........haven't stopped climbing the last couple of months in this Barmy heat....gave my notice in at work a couple of weeks back...my notice to my Landlord here in Kew....told Mrs Fox I,ll miss her but cannot stay in London...done five years here just to be near her...its now up to her if she follows me to the North East...pretty sure she will....have my train ticket ready....my new job waiting for me and plenty of tree work to keep me busy after my day job for the next 2 weeks.....flat out! But I have never been happier...in fact I need to change my location from "On Cloud nine"....to...."On top of the world!"....check out how happy I was in the sea at Bournmouth on Sunday......felt like I was 21 again! Full HD to appreciate the insanity of it all!!

Left the Concrete Jungle for the Sea..packed up the mini with loads of water and she made traditional Filapino "chicken adobo, rice and Bangus (milk fish"....Mrs Fox is used to temperatures of 42 degrees and above...but I needed to cool down after the beautiful weather we've had......and swam for hours!...aqua-therapy! We had an Amazing day!:)

  7. Ok...this weekend has been freakin' AWSOME!! Life just keeps getting better and better! some great tree climbs...good cycling...etc. etc...now tonights post is in two parts...just had an unexpected trip with Mrs Fox...but first...yesterday evening I was cycling my usual route down the King's Road to Hammersmith to meet tbe missis when I heard the hypnotic sound of hydraulics and haunting warning klaxon...my road was blocked by an incredible site....What's Yellow...goes up and down and weighs 350 tons?......THIS!....Now if you don't like Cranes....look away now cos there's a lot of pics.....I love em:thumbup::thumbup:
  8. Sorting out the wheat from the Chaff gave me peace of mind and I too sleep like a log now....although this heat means I see mto be waking at about 4.30 a.m..Good to hear things are good in your world Stephen:)

Mick...thank you:) you were the first person on my thread to recognise my Ambition and offer me work...you introduced me to a couple of Great Northern lads, Rich Rule and Mark Bolam...that meeting at the "Arborist's Arms" was the Psycological Springboard that took me to where I am now:thumbup: ...i shall soon be working in the Nort East again and once I get setteled back in Duham/Northumberland I shall drive down in my Navara to see you..and shall greet you with the biggest smile:) There are two people who have influenced me the most in Tree Work....Johny Walker is one.....you are the other!:)

  11. And the third climb...a Plane with the best view of the Deer Park...we worried about wether we were allowed to climb here...now we just climb....now we just do it...the public seem to love watching us and we do no harm....just love climbing trees:cool:
  12. Tree number 2...speed climb and limb walk on an oak...meanwhile the temperature was soaring!!...loving these early morning reccy climbs:):)
  13. Okay...update time...got to the first tree at about 7.30 a.m....a big Lombardy..difficult climb...got half way up and as Samuel was above it sounded like he was dismantling it! So much dead in it the noise of fracturing branches cracking we decided it wasn't so safe....we descended...:eek:

No Cizzer Jon....keeping a clear head during my last couple of weeks in the South...been doing a lot of Reccy climbing and today (possibly going to be the hottest of the year) I am off on one now:) its a hazy start but already very warm...flip flop weather again! Been taking a lot of climbing pictures with the GoPro recently...like the resolution and angle of image it produces:thumbup: have a great weekend Folks...its gonna be a scorcher!!!!!
  15. Tree is thriving!...beautiful specimin in Gunnersbry park...Rob suggested Q. DENTATA....Looks right to me.
