I admire a bloke who appreciates metal birds...after 30 years of visiting and 5 years of living in London I still look up at the sky everytime an A380 flies overhead:)

That's okay Rich....was able to sleep in.Woke up at 6a.m instead of 5:rolleyes:...finnished my last ever private job in the South yesterday and got £100 tip!....the lady of the house asked if she could bribe me to stay in Kew for a bit longer and do some more work....(she took the last bloke to do her garden to Las Vegas!)....I told her,"not for all the tea in China"...my spare lenses for my Sawfly specs didn't fit...called my mate and he drove 14 miles to give me another pair!....said goodbye to my friends on the river..Karma is a Wonderful thing!

Al...I have been wondering about Protos lids for a year or do now..tried one at the APF....loved it straight away...super comfy fit...ergonomic shape...hi viz colouring...liked them even more this yesr at the Arb show when I saw the new funky colours they were available in and the discussion I had with the salesman about them....but......yards after leaving the Pfanner tent I bumped into a mate who had been given one to use for a couple of days for his climbing technique demo's...he is someone who's knowledge and skill I trust very much......he ssid the were cheap rbbish (overpriced) and the ear defenders were the worst (noise cancelling) he'd EVER used....Al, what's going on?.......talk to me!

Absolutely not...they are not a patch on Northumberland....the Pennine Mountains....Peace and quiet...Durham City (with it's 1, 000 year old Cathedral) And the bars a Cafes of Newcastle....oh.....friendly atmosphere and most of all...FRESH AIR!:) And England on my Doorstep!

Agreed Ty..it is very modern/contempary but like you say fits in with the style of the house...I also agree it will appear dated within years....very minimal......nice sliding gates by the way:thumbup:

My last day working in london was spent near here... this was the only place we could find shade from the sun on our dinner break...the smell was vile. Will I miss anything about London?...absolutely not. Except maybe the A380 flying overhead...Awsome sight!

Living in the South only made me realise how Northern i was!:p:p I was only here for Mrs Fox.....ye can take the lad out of Durham...but you'll never take Durham out of the lad..:D
