hi there bushbaby ,if your into music check out this web site (http://www.benappleby.co.uk) he is my son ,not so good with a chainsaw but prity mean with a saxophone

  4. I think they are rubbish and you should go back to teaching music in schools, the pay cheque will be far more frequent the pension is better and Kids need music. hahahaha Thats the best Joke reply Ive ever done. Seriously tho,, they are good but you didnt really pack your full time profession in for them did you???

Nice one - you had me going! Being a slow reader it took me a while to get to the second bit!! No, I didnt pack in a full time job to do this. I stopped teaching cause I couldnt cope with the lack of discipline both from the pupils and the bolshy parents (my childs the best...).

  5. Got very uncomfortable pain in the knees when I climbed a mountain in Norway and I've had it in the Lake District too. Its just come about again this week as we are climbing in and out of a river(dyke) and yanking limbs out etc. Is this a common complaint in arb? I reckon spiking doesn't help but then there are people who have spiked for decades without problems.

    hi there lancstree

i am 53 and thought my knees were shot , got so bad some times just couldent walk without falling over then couldent get up without help .Started going to the gym when my knees were having goods days and havent looked back ,dont get me wrong still have to be carefull but am a thousand times better , it seems talking to the lads at the gym allthough you may have strong leg muscles it can be the small muscles you dont use in your job that cause the problem , give it a try you have nothing to lose and its good for the heart as well , i found it a bit , let me know how you get on

  6. I would see if there are any shows near you, Craft fairs, gardening shows things like that. Even a good market people will buy it. Regarding price i usually work out how long it took and cost of wood if any, go by hourly rate. search internet for simular products, i've seen simular mushrooms go for 50 to 100 pounds before. I've been wood turning for just over a month thought i'd give it a go, will post pics on another thread.

cheers ian, good idea will give it some thought , what saw the accident , hope it wasnt to bad always fancied trying some wood turning myself , to mean to buy a lathe allready had the chain saws from my farming days, hope it goes well for you
