Funny you should say that..... the warden does want to clear the leaners....but I imagine the dead limbs will be preserved if possible....it's right by an easy access path and has had some stuff cleared from around it in the past to make a feature of it. Think the leaners have been there since the '87 storm.
Graham- At the moment we're coppicing a different area...not sure when this lot will get done.

Hello all, 38 year old job changer here, looking for any groundie work in Essex (or Kent/East London etc) to get started in the business.
I have my CS30,31 & 38....and will be re-taking 39 in January, all self funded through Writtle College. I also have C1E on my license and some limited experience with trailers.
I've been volunteering at my local woods, felling, snedding etc....but would like to get some time with an arb team. Long term I'm looking at a few years ground crew, progressing to climbing jobs as and when I'm ready!
Happy to do casual days, even if just as an observer....take a newbie to work day!?!

On my 38 this week....never been up before.
Can't wait to get my own gear and shoot up the mother in law's oak.
Hmm.....that doesn't sound right!!
What's happened/ing to this tree?
