4 days after they struck, they came back!

Sounds like the same group that carried out several raids across Southern Hampshire as well last month that have moved on. Every one in the area needs to be on full alert as they will strike again there was also reports of them trying the same lock up twice in a week! The police don't seem to care!

Is that Sparsholt college's? If so we used to great affect on a mature beech at Lainston House. Must have winched up a lump of beech that weighed about a ton!!

I am not saying for one moment it is easy running your own company and not every day you will earn a lot more than a lead climber. But what are you suppose to do climb for someone else for 120 a day for the rest of your climbing days or set yourself up with your own firm build up assets and have the chance of being the next big contractor out there? I know the route that i would take. £120 a day for the lead climb £100 for 2nd climber £80 for the groundei thats £300 a day in wages befor you leave the yard + insurance + motors etc ??????? any coments Yes with your own firm you are the lead climber so any thing else you make that day bonus, i wouldn't get that working for some one else it would just be 120 a day. You wouldn't run your own business if the money and the rewards didn't exceed a lead climbers money as it would be pointless!!

The reason tree surgeons are popping up left right and centre is simple. Climbers working for other people don't get paid enough. If the rates of pay where better for climbers then they would stay working for companies longer and not feel the need to set up on there own. It is very cheap to set your self up you can get a truck, climbing kit and a couple of saws for less than five grand. That sort of money is very easy to raise for start up costs, so makes having your own tree surgery company far too accessible. It is a no brainer work for some one else for peanuts and not much prospect of ever earning more than 120 quid a day or set your self up and earn more, Have better prospects and who knows you could be the next Bartletts or Gristwood and Toms!!

I Don't think the waist band has slipped round. i think he has got the bridge fully extended and climbing with the leg loops very loose which is possible on the mk1 not sure on the later models.
