You shouldnt need to change the blades if its clean timber . If they do blunt a little you can resharpen in place
-
Thanks it has to be hammered rather than chipped which is a real pain
-
Im looking for advice , we have been asked to supply silver birch that has been through a hammer mill , something not as big as a bandit beast
-
Get a heizohack it has screens in , and it has stress control so your valtra will be plenty of power
-

Thats weird , i had to google to see what i had scene , i had never heard of a moon bow
-
We have all spent lots of time outside , whats the most unusual thing youve seen Mine is seeing a moon bow late one cold winter evening , the other is having a sparrow hawk land on my head , must of thought it was a huge sparrow

Spruced I have the 10 - 500 heizohack in gray gits video , it dosent have the optional infeed conveyour but manages well with thorn and leyandi . Its the same with all chippers if the material is presented correctly these machines work very well all you have to do is compress the material with the grab if very loose . If you can afford it go for an 8 or 10 -500 they are a lot better than the 8-400 as the top roller opens up to 800mm high and will also clamp shut . If you watch gray gits video carefully you will see the thorn slip in the rollers untill i clamp down on it then it goes through well

Sometimes too much hp is a bad thing , if the blades are sharp and set to the anvil you should be fine
Try putting other timber through to see the difference
Was it a new machine , it could be the infeed rollers / conveyour teeth are a bit blunt not pulling in hard enough , just got that problem on mine at the moment
-
What horse power are you running it on , is it crane fed ? the blades need to be sharp and have the correct angle
-
Up to 25 tons at the moment ,a day .I don't think its possible to find that much

One of my customers is looking for large amounts of birch ,in the north east of England , can anyone help

I had an l200 chipped with a prodrive chip from new , I convereted it into a tipper , and must of carried 1000s of tons of logs in it , and it got flogged all the time. I sold it with over 100k on it , I never had any engine problems
At the moment my valtra has been chipped for nearly 5 years without any problems , to do with the chip anyway
-
Yes i will be there this year what ya selling ?

Its the round main drive cog that has dropped , any idea how to get to it ?
