  1. If you search "Orange Plant" you will find many negative comments concerning them.

That you as an employee still have some beef with a former customer after nearly 10 years just shows how right these comments are and I know I am not alone in rejoicing in Lemon Plants closure.

    Enjoy your retirement.

  2. And what is your version of events?

You cannot even admit to being one of those involved in scamming me with a Lemon...

  5. Hello Mick,

My wife, the boss, would like some details about your tractor.

I was not aware it was still for sale.

Does it have a 3rd service for a grab bucket?

I've been looking at new Solis 26 tractor, Worky Quad and MicroBull loaders.

I need something more 'polyvalant' to run a flail, splitter and winch.

    Regards

      Hi Stu.

      2008 750hrs.

Yeah it has a grab+bucket+topper+belly cutter+ splitter+pallet forks, I’d probably keep the winch for that money.

Towable on a trailer behind a truck.

depending on what you want it’s 13500 no vat, it’s owned by me not the company mind.

  6. Hello Jase,

I'm think I'm going to need to fit a  different end to the exhaust if I am to install the spare wheel carrier.

If I turn it downwards, I'll risk scorching or worse what ever surface I'm on.

Googling ain't coming up with owt sadly.

    Got any ideas?

Also, what is required in terms of stop switches on the French model and how much are they from G.M?

Hi Stu,  l will look into both these questions at work on Monday.

I think the palm switches are possibly free but I need to Check with the powers that be.

      Why not ask Guilhem..?  ?

  7. Hello Jason,

I need to organise a quadchip flywheel axle replacement.

Are there any exchange units available?

If not, how best to get ours to G.M?

    ALSO...

How much if G.M does the job for me...? (properly with new bearing and like WHATEVER!)

Still not out of the merde but holding my own against the wrath of the perfidious French git.

      Regards

      Stuart

Hi Stu.....I'm on holiday this week but I'm fairly sure a new shaft is in the region of £375 plus fitting which is approx 3 hours labour @£60 per hour..

There probably is a service exchange flywheel assembly ready for despatch but that would be on the understanding that you returned yours, why don't you bring it over yourself and come and have a cuppa..?

Probably best to email 'Heather' in the parts dept for an accurate price, think it's '[email protected]'

Its good to hear that you're doing ok though mate.......!

  8. Hello Spud.

First, thank you for all your most usefull contributions to Arbtalk.

Now I have 'supplie devant vous' I wish to ask your advice.

I have a 2009 Stihl pole saw power unit which now only runs on half choke.

What are the possible causes of this?

    Regards

    Stuart Lee

      spudulike

Hi Stuart, if the unit needs half choke then the carb isn't supplying as much fuel as it should. Usual issues would be carb tune, holed or bad fuel line, bad fuel filter or the carb needs a clean and refurbish. Typical carb issues are shyte in the gauze strainer, holed or damaged pump diaphragm or hardened metering diaphragm. Sometimes removing the H&L screws and using carb cleaner down their holes can resolve issues.

That's about it for the first pass.

      Good luck

      Steve

      Many thanks for the tips.

I forgot to mention that it is a four mix engine just in case this changes things.

Worth checking the valve clearances then, this causes many poor running issues on these machines

<p>Hello, I've come over the U.K for the Arb Show.</p>

<p> I'm still tied up in litigation with my business partner.</p>

<p>Next hearing is on the 16th of this month.</p>

<p> I'm just looking forward to finalising my business divorce and ordering my next chipper.</p>

    <p> Cheers</p>

  10. <p>Cheers Jason, I feel positive one minute then lost and washed out the next. At least my choice of chipper is solid. Plus it fits in my tiny garage at home. I snuck into the workshop last night and saw the 200 there. What a beauty she is. It will be at least 3 years before I upgrade to one of those.</p>

  11.

    <p>Hello Jason,</p>

<p> I'm in the midst of a serious conflict between my business partner and myself. Since November I have been sidelined and forced out of my business. I'm taking legal action to force a closure in order to be free to begin again.</p>

<p>I'll be investing in a 130 to start with as I'll have limited capital. The 200 is in the barn, I saw it tonight. Just snuck in for a peak. Very impressed. Shame I'll never get to use it though. Did you ever get to examine our old 190 and find the roller fault?</p>

  13.

    <p>Hello Chap,</p>

    <p> How are things?</p>

<p>G.M are giving us a new machine, a new 200 to replace the 190.</p>

<p>In the meantime I pick up another 190 to use as this fault with the rollers is getting unbearable at times.</p>

<p>The 4012 shredded another belt. Turns out the lastbelt was the wrong one, not a re-enforced one. I did argue this with the supplier at the time who assured me that it was the right belt depsite the price being less than half the going rate for a Kevlar belt.</p>

    <p>Replacing the 2 toothed pullies this time too at 600 a pair...</p>

    <p>That will be 6k I've spent on the 4012 this year...</p>

<p>The latest mysterious electrical issue (machine dies when on remote) was the remote stop button malfunctioning. Only 93euros but mornings drive to Le Mans and back. Fault fixed in 10min. </p>

<p> I wish I had a beer tonight, it was a money Saturday in the rain...first for a couple of months.</p>

    <p> All the best</p>

    <p> Stuart</p>

  14.

    <p>Hello,</p>

<p> How has it been with Tom?</p>

<p> I've got a great deal of work ahead and am busy trying to recruit a climber and a groundworker for landscaping.</p>

    <p> Regards</p>

  15.

<p>Last day today. All grass and leaf work though.</p>

<p>Tom is a proper character, always positive and good for a laugh. His pruning is top spec. His habit of smoking on the job, one handing top handles on the ground I can ignore as he is a hard worker and knows his trade. I'll employ him again, in fact I've looking forward too his return. His biggest fear is being ripped off by new employers. He likes boys, drugs, tight leather shorts, videos of beastiality and fetish so a couple of days gimping for the THE GRINDER MAN' should suit him just dandy. Call me this evening and I'll fill you in more.</p>

  16.

    <p>Hello Pete,</p>

<p> Hope your over your 'man flu'</p>

<p>I'm down with sinusitus which for me is comparable to being kicked in the face by a horse.</p>

    <p>But I digress...</p>

<p> So I have haggled hard here and beat the dealers into submission over a G.M 190.</p>

<p>It's ordered BUT... and this is a BIG BUT...</p>

<p>We won't get it until January at the earliest.</p>

<p>This is not just inconvenient but ******* bloody disasterous for us.</p>

<p>Is there any way that GM/HQ can see a way to giving us priority on delivery?</p>

<p> I know it's a big ask BUT... This will be our third G.M, I'm brand loyal, must count for something eh?</p>

<p> Please, if you have any influence then consider our cause.</p>

<p>Slightly short of begging tone of writing here.</p>

    <p>Regards</p>

    <p> Stuart</p>

  17.

    <p>Hello Treemoose,</p>

<p> Could I ask you just what you charge for a days HB20 grinding?. Here I charge 480 euros = 350 pounds inc vat </p>

<p> I find I get 10-12 hours out of a set of teeth which I then bin rather than sharpen.</p>

    <p> Regards</p>

    <p> Stuart</p>

  18.

    <p>Hello Pete,</p>

<p> I have no problems sourcing a machine in the U.K. I've a quote that is almost 5k euros less than in France. If push comes to shove I may buy in the U.K but for now the quote will be used to beat the French dealers around the head until they lower their price.</p>

<p> Business is good for us here and we've a good relationship with our dealers but 5k is hard to swallow all the same despite hitting 205k euros in our 3rd year of limited company.</p>

    <p> Regards</p>

  19.

    <p>Hello Pete,</p>

<p> I would like to know if Greenmech chippers sold in the U.K now come with an E.U certificate of conformity.</p>

    <p> Regards</p>

    <p> Stuart</p>

    <p>Hi,</p>

<p> Your right about cliques on this forum. I dared talk about some shoddy treatment from Orange Plant and I got a ban and points. No swearing, no bad language involved. Then you get idiots like Mike Dempsey, sly, nasty, arrogant who also have alternative names on here, mountain man, le Sanglier and borris. All just trolling to stir up ****.</p>

<p> Best of luck to you.</p>

    <p> Stuart</p>

    <p>Hello,</p>

<p> Have have you been settling in here?</p>

<p> Got anywhere on the work front?</p>

<p> Easter hols here and thanks to an advert on LeBonCoin I've sold almost all of our stock of woodchip for garden mulch plus 148m3 to a local power station.</p>

    <p> It's all good over here.</p>

    <p>Regards</p>

  22.

    <p>Hello Spud,</p>

<p> Please, what is your turn around time for porting a saw?</p>

    <p>The cost for a 200t and a 441</p>

    <p>Also, your business address please.</p>

    <p>Regards</p>

    <p>Hello Chap,</p>

<p> I have been asked about a job on Normandy.</p>

    <p>Grinding 20 Douglas stumps with a 1m diameter cut face.</p>

<p>I have not been sent any images as yet.</p>

<p>From your experience, with a grown ups machine like yours, what price would you put on such a job?</p>

<p>It's a bit big to be economical for my HB20 but it may be worth asking another with a bigger machine (such as...?)</p>

    <p>Area is Vire.</p>

    <p>Hope all is well.</p>

<p>We are looking at 1. land and buildings 2. New JD 1026R with a bucket and log splitter.</p>

  25.

    <p>Hello,</p>

<p> We have lot's of sheds, gates and awnings being booked in.</p>

<p>The tree work is drying up especially from Brits.</p>

<p>The last quote the next guy was 40% cheaper WTF!</p>

<p>Also, I seen to be getting timewasters from my ad on A.I.</p>

<p>They go like this " Normally my husband would do this but it's leaning towards the house" OR " How much to cut down this tree? as we are on a tight budget"</p>

<p>I say, "Send me some images and I'll give you an idea"</p>

    <p>No images=bored timewasters...</p>

<p>We are buying some land with a workshop for the business which will be a weight off my mind.</p>

<p>How many grass days have you? If you sell your house then you could invest in some kit to kickstart your business well and truly...I did and it worked!</p>

<p>Another thing, get yourself a web site made up, best advert you can get.</p>

<p>I'm off to Villandry with my wife tomorrow, google it, amazing gardens.</p>

    <p>Right, laters friend!</p>
