  1. ...and then the bliss is shattered by the ringing of the phone with Mrs Smith asking for her bush pruning
  2. As Jason pointed out, it would be too difficult getting through the queues with such a gun, no good for the old PO, maybe B&Q but not on a Sunday We are having a joke BTW mr internet Plod
  3. Would you dare to phone someone on a Sunday morning at 8.15 am to ask for a quote for some shrubs and trees trimming. I honestly can't believe that some people are so thick, (is my stress rearing it's ugly head again). There was no, "I,m sorry for bothering you on a Sunday" comment. This lady just thought it was the norm. I just subtley said, "Hang on a second, I'll just have to get out of bed to get my diary" and added a silent "Bitch" on the end Some people?? This is what makes the job hard work is not getting time to yourself and people invading your "off" or quiet time. It also happen when I was running my tool retail and repair business. Some people are just down right inconsiderate
  4. More commonly known as a "Post Office" gun
  5. Am I misreading this or are you saying that concentric growth (in the root system) is because of bias feeding the upper part of the root system, which is where most of the soil nutrients are found and not because of structural loading forces as would be found in a cross section of a lateral branch. As I understand it, concentric growth above or below ground is because of forces exerted and adaptive growth to counter those forces and not to do with bias feeding
  6. Aye, there's not many can get the better of her. I've had 22 years of her sharp tongue
  7. Depending on which part of the week it is Buzz. I might be able to come to you while your at Petes or if petes free at the time he may be able to show you where I am . I am planning on the building keeping the chip dry to be able to stockpile till theres enough for collection.
  8. Yes 110 degrees is the wide angle, I have got the 70 degrees one also which I'm going to use on the gun. Welwell : Here's a starter although you may find cheaper on Tebay http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/VIO_POV1.html?gclid=CKiJ5aPRxJYCFQWc1AodCguzyQ
  9. I had the same problem Tom but mine was a bit worse picture quality. The upload I did must have been in a different format. It's a shame because when you play it on the comp it's near DVD quality film. Did you get the wide angle lens as well as the standard lens?
  10. I would guess Matt, that most of the Boi we produce goes abroad ? Surely if local demand increases we won't ship abroad and more can be paid for locally produced. At the moment, I am giving away all my chip and a lot of my crappy logs. If I can find an easy way of loading the stuff, anything I get for it will be a bonus. Plus I need a building anyway. Plus I am more likely to get planning for a building that's for "Bio fuel" storage.
  11. Spot on. My main gun which I shoot 90% of the time is a 686 20g and I also have a 687 silver pigeon III for heavy loads for those mega high Duck and Geese But one day I will have myself a Beretta SO10 eell at a mere £50K. Shall I start saving now
  12. Over and Under, it's the way forward oh! ....and beretta
  13. What you trying to say Chris ?? Come on mate, spit it out BTW.. Bob, what make and model was that camera you were showing me at the show
  14. In the pipeline Tom, I was only talking about it today. To get a true sight picture the camera has to be mounted ontop of the barrels, obviously obscuring the veiw. I never look at the barrels when aiming the shotgun, so don't need a bead or anything and could still hit stuff.....but....a humongous lump ontop of the barrels is going to be hard work. I've tried underneath and on the side but it just isn't right. Will get everything sorted for next week or the week after. Next week is the shoot I captain on so don't really get chance to mess with cameras, will do it on the one the week after
  15. Hi, maybe, but I did four trees at once without moving and sectioned down an Ash that no-one would climb in ten minutes flat
  16. I ran a stalwart into a bog, we had to dig air channels under the belly to get rid of the suction. You look to have had it up to the front grill
  17. Problem for you Daid is you are LA. Too many restrictions and by the book work. One day when you leave you'll be able to let yourself go in a mewp
  18. I've seen many things in life but one that shocked (probably the wrong word, more astounded) me was, I was in a slaughter yard (when slaughter yards used to be slaughter yards) and I was talking to one of the slaughter men. It was mid winter and freezing cold. The guy was just about to open his sandwich bag to have lunch, he turned round looking for somewhere to sit. He picked up the humane killer, put it to a beasts head and dropped the beast where is stood. He then sat on it to have his lunch, a nice warm seat. The beast was no worse for wear and was still edible, something I will never forget
  19. Just got a reply back from the to and apparently they sent me a letter explaining that only one copy of the application form is now needed
  20. That slope is a bit like your mog photo slope, it doesn't look much but it really was a steep slidey slope, you can just see where it slid down. Tony, you know a few of the tricks, but I have a few secret ones
