    bin it?

Could be many things Bill, may be as well to keep it for spares. It could have low bottom end compression which can cause all sorts of symptoms. Always nice to have something on the shelf to rob parts off when needs must

  5. Strange ?? My comp has stopped crashing when loading the Arbtalk page since the Paypal Logo has gone. As soon as it went my problems stopped
  6. Barney, the next ones you do, take a before photo and mark the spot where you took the photo from, then take your after photo from the same spot. Looks like a different tree from those

  12. I'll go through the security settings see if I can suss it.
  13. Its internet explorer Nick and it's a orange and blue icon. It's not so long ago I renewed the Norton anti virus, it's just strange how it always stops on the loading of the paypal icon
  14. Cerne, it would help you tremendously to go on the next Climbing get together down your end. One of the problems of working in this job, especailly on your own is you don't know that your technique is not efficient. Going on the get togethers and watching and learning from others is really good and you learn that you have been doing this and that wrong for years ...and there people there that are very happy to exchange info and techniques
  15. I have Arbtalk set as my home page, but in the last 10 days or so I have been having trouble loading the page. It crashes about 5 times before the page will load and it keeps stopping with the little bar at the bottom saying 12 items remaining but it always stops on loading the Paypal donate icon. Is anyone else having problems or do I need to take a hammer to my pc Loads any other website no probs and once I'm logged in no probs
  16. Nahh, all that stops when you get married and then when you've been married 20 years everything stops
  17. As our Lass says Jonsie, your a bloke, you make mistakes.
  18. One other thing we'll also make clear, he has never seen me bend down and touch my toes either
  19. Have you seen me trying to roll out of bed in a morning Seriously, I can't get out of bed, I roll out. Then half an hour later I can bend down and touch my toes no problem
  20. If you are looking for penetration (no sexual inuendo's) and quality of weld then go for stick. But mig is very easy to do and will give a quality weld. If you really want quality and a challenge try Tig welding, bit like gas welding but with an arc. When I used to fabricate extractor fans for BNFL they would not let a mig near their most critical fabrications, ie the ones handling nuclear waste. They would only allow stick welding which gave the best quality welds
