  1. Cheers for that. Don't think I'll worry about the root ball though Tom... isn't it only good if it has burrs on it?
  2. Same seen loads of sections of big old privet die off.....
  3. That mole looks like it's been molested!? chortle chortle !
  4. Does your girlfriend know that you use terminology like that Mark? I'm sure she'd be very interested in it
  5. Go on give it a go! Never mind the scare mongering - let's move on from that and just try some. Then post how you got on.
  6. Actually I used to find it a real pain to fill up with fuel if you ran out towards the end of a job usually having to 'borrow' a bit out of the blower. And ok the garage may be a couple of miles away and it only takes 20 minutes but for me that was a right PITA. Seem to fill up cans much more regularly than the truck but I only work a short radius from home and always fill the truck right up. Aspen do a container for £108 for keeping the fuel in which is not a big cost for something that'll last at least 5 to 10 years or however long.
  7. Nice one and I'm sure she will serve you well
  8. I'd put that bar on ebay and buy another that fits properly.... prob the least hassal option.
  9. I'll be over on the next ferry ! What a beauty begging to be chainsaw milled! You should ask around to see if there's a market for green planked timber there Josh.
  10. What else will you use it for? Ask him if it's cash and when he says yes it's a deal!
  11. Is it the oil holes that don't line up correctly? Looking in the Oregon book bars for a 08, 08S, 076, 084, 088 and MS880 will all fit an 075. If it's just the oiler hole that doesn't line up you can prob just drill another.....
  12. I can cut up to 20 foot on site and then up to 8" by 8" and any dimensions in between. What is it you need? Access is tricky but you could get a 10 ton vehicle in there and I have a forklift to load it.
  13. Lovely reduction Josh and lovely weather! Looks like you're having a ruddy good time out there!
  14. Have you got google analytics put on? So simple to use and then you can see what key words people are typing in and then maybe adjust some of the wording in your website. Also link to other good websites that get good ratings.
  15. Hmmm.... made a bit of an error there... it's not Douglas as it's not the right colour wood. So what is it? I'll put a picture up on a new thread as unlikely many people will be looking at this one!
  16. :laugh1:that's a very good point. no discounts this year!
  17. I quite like the MS260 but agree it hasn't quite got the goods to run a 15" bar. Will get one of these though. Thanks for review.
  18. Am sawing some Douglas fir just south of Guildford today. Cutting with Peterson mill so can do any dimension up to 8" by 8" lengths up to 16" would be £10 per cubic foot larger dimensions i.e. 6"+ and a bit more for smaller dimensions. Could deliver locally for a few pounds. Give me a call 07811611457 if interested (bit short notice but am cutting today!)
  19. Yes will stick a link in when my website gets updated (which should be soon)
  20. I have run out in Jan each year even though my firewood output has doubled each year! (For last 3 years since I started). Prob did 200 cubic meters last year and aiming for 300 cubes this year. Will be selling hardwood at £90-00 cube and mixed at £80-00. But buy 2 bags (and they are cubic meter vented logs not builders bags) and I'll do a £10-00 discount.
  21. excellent - I've not seen that done before
  22. Ran out of Aspen 4 stroke the day before day and was splitting logs all day with normal pump fuel - woke up this morning feeling like I've smoked about 3 fags! I don't smoke but 1 weekend out of a month I may have a 2 or 3 cigarettes.....
  23. Ebay have really geared itself now to milk as much as possible from each sale. They have drastically reduced all the listing fees but then if you sell the item then they make a fortune. For example I sell a mill on ebay for £249-00. Costs only 20p to list but ebay talkes £18-00 and paypal another £9-00. The strange thing with ebay is even though I have videos saying 'go to my website it's £30-00 cheaper' I still get sales through ebay!?
  24. Superb work there (again!)Tom. Do you have a standard day rate you charge for your carving or is it usually by the job?
