Does any one know any contacts for portable saw mills as im working on a job in great barton, Bury St Edmunds and i think the elm butts would be worth alot of money to the right person. So if any one whos knows of anyone in suffolk who would be interested can u give me there number. cheers.

Altho this is why i feel health and safety is so bad in our industry because of people like that.

I'm on a arb 2 year course atm on my secound year at Otley college and there are a number of tutors which are qualified to teach or not, which is really bad. The tutors have either have sum experience in arb or not at all. I personally feel that more and more colleges are bringing in tutors who may have the qualifications but dont have the teaching ability or the experience.

so what your saying is that im am entitled to light pruning but no mre, obviously no major reductions or pruning of some kind?!? would u be covered i guess is the question as well

yes i did mean cs39, it confuses me, guess it jus allows you 2 practise using a chainsaw to lead up 2 the cs40- doin prunin operations in a tree. right??

im a student currently learning at college/work and im recently going to be taking my cs39 next week so if any1 knows what this entitles me to do at work???

W. Jarvis & Son Tree Services & Landscapes is a family run business based in Bury St Edmunds which specialise in arboriculture and landscape care for over 40 years now. Working for domestic and commercial clients throughout East Anglia such as Suffolk County Council and Cambridgeshire Council.
Job Role-
We are looking for an experienced, qualified and confident climber as well as able to carry out certain ground operations too. You will be required to climb daily, be responsible for the organisation of the working day which includes relevant paperwork, liaising with clients and organising your work team.
You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, have a positive attitude, work well in a team and have the intuition and ability to think for yourself as well as organising your team members.
Qualifications & experience-
Full Uk Driving License and towing license but not essential.
CS30,CS31, CS38 and CS39 are essential for the job role.
Other desirable qualifications would be CS40/41, health & safety and First Aid.
IPAF or MWEP/Cherry picker ticket.
Experience in using large machinery such as wood chippers, stump grinder, processors etc.
Minimum 2 years experience.
The position will include-
28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
All PPE & equipment supplied.
Full training and qualifications if needed.
Opportunity for over time and weekend work.
Salary- £20,000- £30,000 with scope to increase this on a long term secure basis (Depending on experience & qualifications).
Job vacancy- Full Time.
