  1. You have to keep the side bolt really tight I have found .. The wrench given with the saw is quite short so hard to apply pressure I think any way

    husq 372?

I have one on a 20" I try and leave it at home if possible ... Not my favourite saw its proved to be a Friday afternoon saw but many rave about them.. maybe a 461 as it has a little more power would be a good choice or a 576xp... But as an over all ground saw I prefere the 560 nice and light.. Horses for courses I guess.
  3. Ill be getting another rope guide then! I also thought the pulley saver was a lot cheaper but its not!!
  4. Exhaust notes pretty quiet to a 200t I think... Even reminds me of the last revamped bigger cc 338 I brought before I drilled the exhaust!
  5. Seems pretty robust after dragging it through some large conifer hedges and big take downs and and has the power.. Look forward to it properly broken in a month or two. Ran nearly 5 liters through it so will switch to synthetic oil for it by wenesday.
  6. I am in the market for a new friction saver so will be interesting to see what this thread brings up.. Have been using the original art savour for five years so its due a replacement , its served me well but still catches you out very rarely on retreaves some times, only once this year though but it was on one of the largest trees I had climbed and it just started raining!!
  7. Mines been good so far ran it dry a few times and its started great ... Just had to rev out the gremlins!! Like most saws it settles down and behaves.
  8. They come with 325 out of the box ,but mines been running 3/8 since I wore out the first chain.. It's just hassle running 325 for me when you can get a reel of 3/8 and all your ground saws are sorted.
  9. would not touch them and agree with the above comment.
  10. I Financed chipper on hire Purchase and recon it was the smartest move I made for my buisness .. No more monthly brake downs , productivity doubled and its a nice tax off set... I will do it again definitely when I have paid this off...
  11. Have found it always needs a good revving out from cold but seems fine, have only managed to run it dry once and it started great which suprised me especially in the heat.. I Hope it stays this way as I just sold one of my 200t's to pay my yard rent!
  12. Pfanner on clarkes on Justin's site have so far been the best gloves I have ever used , they last for the price ... You will probably go through 2-3 pairs a week if climbing hard but don't get caught up in big shards in your friction hitch unlike the showas... They are also light and thin and offer great grip if climbing on a friction saver and advanced hitch.
  13. Think I said it before in another thread but the 560 IMO is a one person saw , if you got lots of guys using then I would opt for the stihl .. The auto tune seems to set itself to how one person uses a saw and you need to keep it sharp , again this week I slightly dulled it and carried on using it ,saw was not running too happy but its never given me any serious problems and flys unbelievably if you keep it sharp. Watch the fuel levels as well they don't like been run dry but I have an older model,my 540 auto tune seems fine with been run dry.
  14. 15 " on a 560 for me .... Best 60cc saw I have run in 17 years..
  15. Personally ,like I did walk away from buying stihl hands down ..for me the customer service is crap , stihl technical are patronising and there machines are junk .
  16. On a whole I love the positioner but hear the petzl cinch is the way forward ... Only down side I have found to the positioner is replacing the spring on average every 18 months .
  17. I think you definitely notice and appreciate trees more when you start working on them .:.. You also bore people by endlessly talking about it!! I've kinda stopped doing that now but maybe it took me 15 years.
  18. I do like the stay on nuts though ! That does not really phase me the chain adjuster as its a feature on there other saws and has not been an issue so far. Have temporarily boged /sorted the switch by melting the spring cover bit with a blow torched tuning screwdriver ... I like it now
  19. Yeah it's goosed but was like that out of the box ... Have asked my local dealer for a replacement as its really starting to annoy me now as its just flapping around !
  20. Should it go back automatically to the on position??? Mine is a stop switch like the 372 and is easily knocked to off but it feels like it should slip back to on but does not !
  21. Two tanks in and its good ...not loving the stop switch though !
  22. Looks good ! Didn't you find the 441 a pita though for clambering across the top with though?

    ported 150T

Because its guttless !! It's a nice saw but struggles IMO you cant chase cuts even on a 4" branch which can result in tearing .I opened the exhaust 8mm and its taken a second off the cut to me that's an improvement.
