  1. looks good. building a good trailer is not rocket science, so I would say its a good buy.
  2. Nice work Tim - especially for having only recently passed your NPTC... I wont slag you off for posting pics of one handed cutting with no secondary anchor dont post them at proclimber though
  3. Your right. Its definately the harness...

    Morals.

Immoral would mean that it is wrong, whereas Amoral would indicate that there is no right or wrong. Personally, I believe that all treework is unnecesary to trees, and that its just a way of making trees fit our urban space, and career's for arbo's. A good businessman would be Amoral in this instance, as its making money that counts, not arguments of tree health. On the subject of Matt's beech trees, I think the decision was a business one, not a Moral decision. He feels that undertaking the work is a bad decision because of the future damage it may do to the reputation of his business, and the possibility of not getting paid. Who are we to tell people what to do with their trees? We can advise them, but if there are no legal (tpo) restrictions, they have the right to do what they like. Remember BS3998 is a guideline, not a rulebook. What always surprises me is our willingness to fell trees left right and centre, but we baulk at cutting them in half...

devils advocate is right -any treework could be classed as immoral...

    Hello Brits!

Funny you should say that. I have a shiney new 55hp turbo yanmar here... The torque curve on the turbo version is significantly better than the old 49hp engine.

    Hello Brits!

Hey Mr Grumpy, good to see you. You want to replace that Gravley yet?
  10. Weeks wage? Damn your underpaid... I have the Klima airs, they are a superb boot, but a little heavy for summer use.
  11. Hehe... Theis is the one Caroline banned me for posting at proclimber...
  12. Thanks Mike, Good Advice.
  13. Predator 50 vs 7515trx = no comparison. This machine will not be a competitor to the carlton. Its a high powered back garden grinder, not a site clearance machine.

    Morals.

No Morals Here But I do have a very nice ARSE
  15. Good points both... I havent had time to video the universal grinder. The new machine would be the same chassis, but with its own drive. I'm interested in why you think its too cheap mike? I've not a lot to compare it too. How much is a predator 50?
  16. I use to retipp my rayco superteeth. Braze on new tips, good as new.
  17. Thats bollocks. The steel they use is identical to TW. If you ask simon, he has a collection of broken OEM TW knives. Timberwolf hate simon because they make such a large profit on replacement knives.
  18. Top notch guys. They use the best steel available for their knives. They make all our chipper knives and anvils for us. Call Simon and he'll do you a great deal.
  19. I'll occasionally work without Chainsaw pants in the summer on deadwood's and prunes, but always wear a hard hat + boots. Chainsaw gloves are a waste of time. To be honest, the latest PPE is so good nowadays, you'd be foolish or tightfisted not to wear it.
  20. For typical arb waste, a processor is not ideal. what you want is a powerfull splitter with a long stroke for breaking the stuff down into billets, and a circular saw for processing them when they dry out.

    Nptc

Its £17.50 for chainsaw, pesticides, arb electric, FMOC's etc

    Nptc

Cards are £17.50 for each type of assesment. I've lost mine and am looking at about £200 to get a new one
