No, not where the sub floor is good. There are one or two battens that are slightly loose, and there is a bit of movement, but overall its pretty good. The boards are 18mm thick, secret nailed with 50 mm nails. L cleats would have been better but I didnt want the hassle of hiring a portanailer.

It does need something to prevent damage to the finish plaster from hoovers, toys etc. I toyed with the idea of running the tiles all round, but I think I'm going to use a simple bullnose profile board and paint them the same colours as the walls.

Only just seen this, I have a brand new 12" i will swop gladly, I think I have some chains too. I'll have a sort through the gear and let you know what is there. I think I have 2 bars if there is anything else you want to swap.....
  7. Looks very neat, love the upright exhaust! Will you be needing to change the ULW sticker now?
  8. Dont know, probably medium but I will need to try some on.
  9. Do you have the SIP Progress in olive/green?
  10. Swamp cypress (Taxodium distichum), and Pterocarya would be a couple of different alternatives. Pterocarya is quick growing and looks a bit like ash.
  11. I assumed you had been eaten by huntsman spiders.
  12. I wouldnt go cheaper unless there is something in it for you, ie can you do the work as and when to fit in around your other work. Dont go cheap to secure lots of work and then get halfway through and wish you had never started it, and if they want it done all at once you will have to neglect your other clients to finish it.
  13. Thats nasty, truly sickening. I hope you get it back.
  14. Tried it, not a big fan, too soft and it seems to gunge up and go stiff with dirt really quickly. Prefer ocean polyester or armor prus tbh
  15. I can sell you one of those little black devices, exactly as in the video, for £100 cash, no vat.
  16. Dont think so, he's wearing a hoodie, remember its in manchester, hes just robbed a saw and is about to leg it over the hedge!
  17. He's offering fuel costs Stevie, your a connie specialist........ Get yourself down there!
  18. Plug it in, does instant shutter release, delayed for 10 sec, and timelapse. Set the number of shots and the interval, and it fires one off automatically. Might do some other stuff as well, but thats all I use it for.
  19. Many of the decent compacts do it these days. TBH you dont need the best pic quality, just a really good tripod.
  20. 2004? Wow, old school! Mine doesnt do time lapse either, but I found a remote control that would. Dont think the Kodak takes a remote control though?
  21. What camera are you using Rupe?
  22. It is an offence to disturb any nesting bird, regardless of species.
  23. I'm not really one for hocus pocus remedies and dietary supplements, but glucosamine does actually seem to work. I got 300 glucosamine 500mg and chondroitin 250mg capsules off ebay for £17. The equivalent from the vets are nearly £1 per tablet. Just open the capsule and sprinkle over breakfast, works for Alfie.
  24. I have put my Lab on Glucosamine, seems to help him out, worth a try?
  25. Cant help with your question, but I do have another one. If an edible fungus is growing on a toxic plant, ie yew or laburnum, is it still safe to eat?
