  • Meet Chris Jakeman: Carr’s Billington Safety’s new B2B Account Manager

Carr’s Billington Safety this month welcomes Chris Jakeman to the team as the new Southern Account Manager.

With over 10 years of sales experience in the running and outdoor sectors, Chris will be looking after the sales, support, and customer service for all products available from Carr’s Billington Safety in southern England and Wales as well as supporting national accounts.  As an experienced mountaineer and rock climber Chris will draw on his knowledge and experience of height and rope safety in his new role.

Outside of work, Chris loves to keep active in the outdoors.  Rock climbing and mountaineering have played a role in shaping his passion for outdoor sports.  Chris competes in endurance sports including triathlons, marathons and swim challenges.  This year, he has completed the Ride London 100-mile cycle and is taking part in the London Classics, Swim Serpentine 2-mile swim and London Marathon in October.

Neil Thomas, Commercial Manager at Carr’s Billington Safety, comments on Chris joining the team:

“We’re delighted to have Chris on board.  His enthusiasm for all things outdoors along with his in-depth technical knowledge of height and rope equipment will prove valuable with brands in our portfolio, including Climbing Technology.”
