Firewood wanted in Devon - 10 sq metres. Anyone got any ready to go?

Why is there a preference for kiln dried? It's moisture content that counts when it enters your fire. Kilns are used to speed up the process to get down to a MC that it can be classed as firewood.

 

Sorry for the hijack.

 

I'd always take air dried over kiln dried, personally. Cheaper, better for the environment and by the time it goes on the fire probably pretty much the same moisture content.

 

This. Got plenty softwood if you want it. Dry as a chip.

Sold lots of softwood already this season. Mixed in a bit of hardwood. Not one complaint. Repeat customers from last year. If customer only want hw, fine that's what they get, but if they call and ask for "firewood" or "logs" that's exactly what they get.
