Hi Will,

Thank you for your comments. I have made a note of them. Which harness does she find the most comfortable? Every women is different, and because we often have larger hips it makes a huge difference if the harness isn't right. It would be great to have a few we could recommend for women.

The Breath flex chainsaw trousers have been the ones we recommend to women for a while. It is good to hear this fits with Sam's experience.

As for the chest harnesses, I have heard this complaint before. I don't think there are any available for women (hopefully I am wrong). There isn't much of a market for chest harnesses in general in the UK.

She is currently using the Buckingham ergovation light. She wanted the non light version as like the difference in the tree motion the non light version is a little more user friendly but we couldn't find one in this country.

The chest harness is over come able and not really a biggy

Good luck getting the ladies corner noticed

I had a lady working for me today. Was siding up a big Pop over a road in preparation to fell it tomorrow. I needed an extra person as was working on a road. It work really well as she spotted cars early, let us in the picker know quickly ( could whistle louder than most blokes) dragged branches to the chipper left my Groundy to concentrate on feeding the chipper and cutting out the cord. Better than any college leaver I've come across. And she helped drag the logs we had thrown in the hedge.

Well impressed.

Only down side was my mrs wasn't happy. I said to her fine I won't have her work for me but you'll have to do it. She soon shut up!

Thanks for the heads up on the Stein chainsaw trousers. Is there are particular one or do they all fit about the same?

Yes, the Krieger trousers.

They have a stretchy material over the bum and the overall cut is more suitable than other trousers I've seen.

ie: The knee is long, the back is high and they are slightly roomy down the legs. Therefore when you bend over, squat or just lift a knee when climbing, the material doesn't go tight on your leg.

The best way of determining if trousers fit well is the 'Truck Test'. Get in the drivers seat and if the material feels tight on the front of your knee, then you should buy the Stein Krieger.
