Faded climbing helmet?

Recommended Posts

Also have spoken to dealer and they have assured me it passed all the tests, but I'm still worried, have they tried one with such bad uv fading? I had a 4 year old petzl helmet that unfortunately fell off the van 😁 but as far as I remember hadn't faded at all. Also this helmet keeps loosening itself off, is there any way of repairing it?

This is a brand exclusive to a local dealer. Its their own brand. If I'm honest it looks an exact copy of a kask plasma.

Buyers should be aware of imitation helmets appearing on the UK Market. It is my understanding that the UK Trading Standards are looking into the validity of some imitation helmets.

I don't think it's an imitation as such, they have said it has passed test etc but I'm going up later to hopefully exchange, I'm not happy with the quality, do I have a basis for an exchange?

I doubt your LOLER inspector would be comfortable passing that.

How would a helmet come under LOLER regs?
