I that was correct it would be great, drivers left in their droves because the pay and facilities were shit. Talking to our kid, the money isn't bad but the facilities and the way drivers are treated in RDC's is diabolical.

And in my opinion thats directly related to being in the EU. The plasters been ripped off and its time to suck it up.

Somebody must have seen this coming.

like most things ,those in the know probably did but no-one listened too them !!  I know one HGV  driving  trainer that I did my test with , who had fairly steady business for decades but then less and less learners because EU drivers were already trained ( to their own questionable standards ) so not much work for instructors , now even if many candidates came forward there are not enough trainers !!

Me. Hoping to fit in the 35 CPC hours I need to get my first card over the next few weeks and then start job hunting.

That 35 hours will be the biggest waste of time in your life.

At the end of it you will not be a better driver, you will be no more use to anyone than you are now. The best thing the government could possibly do right now would be to scrap CPC and let the drivers on the road, sack the "teachers" and get them driving too as surely as they know so much about the job they would be better out driving than in a classroom. What's that you say? the teachers don't have a HGV license?

It’s fuel madness out there.

I’ve just queued for nearly two hours to top up the Transit.

Only cost me £6.40, mind.

That's about the strength of it, everyone topping up for £15 and the guys on empty can't get feck all.

Wazzocks!

That makes no sense. Everyone has the same opportunity to fill up. Why would those low on fuel not be able to pull in and wait as well? I literally did that today. It sucks fat balls but hardy headline news.

It make a lot of sense, people queuing and blocking up roads just to top up car and it will probably sit in drive for the rest of the week apart from popping  kids to school just down the road with in walking distance.
