The proof-reader could have done a better job but the sentiment rings true.

See, descrimination actually has  positive attributes.

Like why most people would prefer driving a BMW to a Dacia,

or live in the Cotswolds instead of Middlesborough,

or eat fillet steak instead of manky frozen burger meat.

And not racism per se. rather a balanced judgement or assessment of the likely compatibility of the 99% young fighting age males unlikely to want to work  crossing the channel in rubber dingies sans families within wider UK society

vis-a-vis the families with children sans the fighting age males coming from the Ukraine.

Other European counteries have already made the same balanced decisions.

I know several people that have signed up to offer accommodation, there's a distinct sense that the Ukrainians are in need of temporary sanctuary and will want to return home asap, whereas previously the feeling has been that people trying to get to UK were hoping to come permanently.

Think the scheme is a good idea, but could of being made open to  refugees of all nations?

Don't know if many ukraine ones will be able to go home for  yrs, maybe not ever, dependent on what happens/who wins looking at ukraine atm....

Will take  many billions to rebuild ukriane housing etc and many  yrs...

What happens after 6 month if thay all cant go home, many might end up staying in homes alot longer unless gov finds other acommadtion in UK which it has a poor track record of.

Goverment spends a fortune housing refugees  often in squalour with the private landlords making alot of money out of it.

The difference being that Ukrainians that do come here don’t hate us or want to turn this country into a sharia state sh…hole like they’ve just come from. They’re much more like us in their values - looking out for them does not make anyone “racist” which is a word thrown about far far too easily nowadays

May be an image of text that says "HOW TO USE A LIFE RING å Take life ring, grab the rope and keep hold of the line Ifyou see someone in distress in the water you must act quickly Check the citizenship and mmigration status of the person in distress DIAL 999 TO SPEAK TO AN IMMIGRATION OFFICER 055"

Too simplistic citizen smith.
would I take 2-3 predominantly military age Muslim males into my home, whom have illegally crossed the channel from a number of safe countries ?? “ absolutely not”

would I take a Ukrainian Family and children as part of an official scheme  ? “ absolutely yes”

It's art, it's supposed to provoke a response and it has worked.

Would you check their ID before rescuing them?

Mark,

If your immediate family member fell overboard and there was also a ‘refugee’ in the freezing water who was a stranger to you and you could only rescue one of them who would you rescue?

That would obviously depend on the details in ones fathers will  .  .  .
