To slightly change tack,  I have really really enjoyed watching YouTube videos of dogs being used to kill rats in and around decrepit farm buildings and from under the modern movable henhouses/pighouses.

A proper days crack.

Yep i like to see terriers on rats, IMHO a better way than poison.  However I don't get people who say they are happy to see terriers killing rats but think hounds on foxes is unacceptable/animal cruelty.🤔

Does this not constitute hunting with dogs?

And covid restrictions are back.

Apparently we now have to isolate until we've got a negative day 2 PCR test after international travel. And wear f*cking masks again in shops.

Bollocks to that. I'm just not doing this anymore.

J I’ve pretty much came to that conclusion now, no more of these petty destructive restrictions, life’s too short to have some jobsworth politician and ego inflated scientists literally having us dance to this bullshit tune. It’s all just way way too convenient quite frankly , the public has basically had enough of this, cop 26 etc is over so let’s just refocus on covid 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Hey presto the worst ever variant with 2 whole cases so far and that’s enough to reintroduce restrictions. They genuinely must think the masses will swallow any old shit.

Don't think this one was taken out of the freezer or forged by the sabs, this is the case where the huntsman threw 4 live fox cubs to the hounds in the kennels in 2016.

Does moose hunting with dogs come under the same?

Is it cruel in the eyes of some?

I’ve Norwegian work mates who hunt Elg and use Elghunds. As far as I can tell the Hounds don’t bring down the Elk and rip it to pieces although I believe that has not always been the case.

I’ll get an update off of him this afternoon at shift change.

Funnily enough we’ve been watching a Norwegian Hunting series these last few days.

Well the cat came back with yet another fresh kill mouse last night, not sure how that stacks up !!. Mind you she does tend to eat what she kills 🤷‍♂️

Only hunting with dogs covered by the 2004 act so a pack of cats is fine to hunt anything.

Only two mammals may be hunted by dogs, rats (but not mice or squirrels) and rabbits (but not hares) I just needed to check.

Got a link to the series Andy?

I am looking at a Jämthund in the new year.  Got my name down for a pup.  Jämthund is the Swedish version of the Elghund.  Little larger and slimmer.  Beautiful dags ;)

I'll ask him when he comes out tonight. :)

Lovely Dogs. I really want one as well. But with two Samoyeds already Id like a Family Friendly Guard Dog and from what my work mates says his Elghunds are no better than my Sammies at deterring Pikies. They have a good bark on them but will just lick any intruder to death before defending the property.

I'll look into the Jämthund. How much for a pup?
