That's awful.

Also in other news just seen the sacked head of the FBI is testifying today and will say trump asked him to drop the Russian links investigation. Trouble ahead I'd say, wonder if trump will even see out a year as president?

Is that a crime?

Other presidents, including Obama have ORDERED the FBI to drop cases, Thump only "asked".

What disappoints me most is the appallingly low standard of the various party's candidates. Lack of intelligence, downright loonies, corrupt, nepotism, lack of integrity, etc are just some of the descriptions I would give them. Its a sad day to think that these are the kind of people who will be dealing with major topics such as brexit, terrorism and the NHS.

S'right. Obama pursued more people for the crime of "whistle blowing" than all the previous presidents put together.

Then... just before he left office he brought in new legislation to allow freedom of information on an unprecedented scale... Talk about the politics of a chameleon.

Timon.

I reckon I could be an MP Mick, I tick most of those boxes.

Whatever the result after today, IMO the most important thing is to make sure you do vote. I've met a few who either cant see the point -''they're all the same'' - or simply can't be bothered. Please don't be among them.

Even if you go to the polling station to scrawl 'NONE OF THE ABOVE' on your ballot paper, you will at least have given your verdict - if you don't vote, then whatever happens, you will have forfeited your right to complain about it.

If it's too wet for you to bother, then wait for a nice sunny day, take a gentle stroll to the nearest war memorial and make a silent apology to the people whose names are carved on it.

These men fought and died for many things - country, family, friends, but also for democracy - your right to vote. They deserve a better memorial than your apathy.
