If you were to look at the damage Israel has done to Gaza, I would be inclined to believe the higher figure. That wasn't an army looking at pin-point accuracy in its strikes to take out an opposing force, it was wholesale destruction of the civilian infrastructure - homes, shops, schools, hospitals.

Exactly what one would expect when civilian infrastructure is used to conceal munitions/ tunnel entrances/strong points.

If the IDF could have cut the head off the snake surgically it would have done so,unfortunately it had to steam roll the whole garden it was hiding in. At a great loss of life to both sides.

Hopefully this is the end of Hamas and the people of gaza can free themselves of that death cult.

Quite liberal firearms laws in Gaza btw, Mike.

Unfortunately they spread that to Israel one October a few years back.

Mike we have several tactical experts on this forum, whom I’m surprised aren’t more than aware of the destructive nature of FIBUA. That’s always been the case sadly. Even more so when you have an organisation like HAMAS  that cares nothing about its civilian population. Israelis used the correct approach from their perspective ie max firepower min casualties for the IDF . Same as any other country would have done.
Gaza, Berlin, Mariupol 🤷‍♂️
