Recommend a brushcutter

I have picked up a regular contract clearance/maintenance job and I am in the market for a brushcutter/strimmer with more grunt than the Stihl FS360 I borrowed, I have looked at the Husqvarna 545 and the Stihl 460/490 models.

Advice please, ideally from people who have used (and abused) them.

Thanks,

Chris

Years ago I used the Husky 265 and 265rx brushcutters clearing birch and re-spacing conifer. It was an absolute beast of a machine! In Birch up to silly size that you had to fell with a gob and backcut the thing was unstoppable. I've no idea how the new Husky 5 series compares to them but if theyre anything like the old gear they'll be excellent. Incidentally has anyone used both machines (265 and later 5 series) to compare?

Go for the 545RXT same as the 545rx except it has a slightly thicker iner shaft but most importantly it comes with the balance X harness the best harness on the market! No contest

I did wonder if there was a difference other than the harness - thanks!

I went for the FS 460, what a beast of a cutter.

Plenty power never gets bogged down or the head wrapped up with crap.

With the mulching kit on it eats brambles and brush.

I run it on Aspen, starts first time runs faultlessly, harness is not much cop so bought a husky balance X one.
