Good question, I'll have to ask him next time I see him.

 

Knowing the builder there'll have been some attempt made at speed checking it.

 

My 80mm bore fergie does 40 km/h full throttle and holds 4th gear up most hills, even with 4 ton on the hitch.

 

I should mention that a larger carburettor has been fitted.

 

They are only supposed to do 21 km/h stock.

There's a farmer near me got a case 866 2wd had it from New was his biggest tractor when he bought it he up sized to a bigger plough tractor but still kept it. Now runs a big Fendt [400hp] but has still got case as run around at harvest and in stable yard have got no idea what hours its do but must be high.
