75mm+ forstner bits

Since my request went unanswered on the wine bottle thread, I am looking for advice on which bit i should be looking at.

The job at hand, hopefully is to make a rustic centre piece wine rack for our new front room . Unsure of sizes etc. But ideally will hold 6+ wine bottles.

I have looked at the Milwaukee bits which have a replacement cutter but are currently out of stock, the colt version looks the dogs, but so is the price :001_rolleyes:

So any suggestions greatfully received :thumbup1:

Would like to make something similar to this image

Sorry didn't see this until today.

Bit I used was a Dewalt 92mm diameter self feed cutter - with extension bar, bought via amazon.

-read through the wine bottle rack thread - all discussed there.

Holesaws are grim to use in damp timber and not much fun in thick timber anyway. I had to make a few big holes with a good quality holesaw in green Oak and the dust and shavings just gummed the thing up constantly....

It's all worth a go!

I've got to pull my finger out and get my Pattern Mill powered up and aligned. It will be just the weapon for jobs like wine racks

(video from the day we dragged the old dear out of a closed pattern makers workshop)
