Last day on that site yesterday. I put this clip on youtube to answer some questions Ive been getting there later. I'll add the link and description here in case anyones interested. Thanks.

Use HD setting. Been asked a lot of questions since the last video (Cedar topping). Hopefully this answer a few. This the final stages from a climber perspective. Not a huge tree at approx 130ft. The number of ribbons indicate the DBH of the pole, which is important in regards to the order of which logs are picked up first and last. Bigger logs are picked up last when the Helicopter is carrying less fuel, hence less weight. My climbline is 150ft...which would give me the option to make it to the ground SRT in an emergency....but otherwise allows me to rappel 75 ft doubled line until I run out of rope. Then I walk down the remainder which is easy enough. To carry a longer climbline would mean packing more weight up the tree....so a trade off, of sorts.

I keep telling Reg that the work he does is worth five bills a day easy.

Yet he insists he gets nowhere near that!

Hell, just his editing skills alone's worth that kinda coin IMO.

Are you sick of conifer poles yet mate?

We know you rock in decurrent big wood too.

Haha Jon. That's what I charged here. So long as you don't leave canada it's good money. As a rule don't do the contract climbing now, but make an exception for particular jobs. This was one.

Been watching a slew of your vids Reg just of late..

Now being the curious type and getting a little stumped, I've been trying to place your accent...

Theres a hint of Manc mixed with a Northern accent,, coupled with a early vid promoting Fletcher Stewart, I'm leaning towards Olham Stockport area..maybe even Bury?...

Other than that, when do the bears come out, and are there any Brown bears to be worryin about in those parts?...

A friend of mine moved to Canada, while having his breakfast, his girlfriend bolted out the kitchen screaming for her life, he thinks, WTF, turns round to see whats amiss and there not ten feet away was a Black bear making its way towards the open patio doors looking to join em for a breakfast.....

And worth every penny brother!

I've always thought my commutes back n forth to work were the most dangerous part of this profession. Hard to feel in control of things with hundreds of cars trucks and semis milling about you during rush hour traffic.

Give me a treetop office any day!
