In Wales - Bat Conservation Trust

Find Your Local Bat Group - Bat Conservation Trust

IMO You're probably best not to indicate that you are interested in getting training in order to make money from bat surveys..........they don't seem to take that sort of approach too well. Ecological consultants may also be interested in using your services.

CIEEM might give you some leads.

Was mostly natural habitat but I'm open to gaining experience through any method. I've found bat groups aren't very helpful in my local area about helping building up hours and experience. So was hoping to get some new leads.

I did 2 weeks for the bat boxes they put on the motorways up north was looking forward to it but was a bit disappointed as only the ecologist was allowed to open the boxes all we had to do was climb the tree and salfey get the box down to the ecologist via rope she would then check the box and send it back up for re attachment didn't get to see any bats as I was always up in the tree hope this helps you a bit and good luck

Do a search for a local free-lance Ecologist, the good ones welcome an extra pair of hands, especially with climbing experience.

You need to be out there doing it,I am out 2/3 times a week, dawn and dusk in the season but around the Cheshire/North West area, hope you get sorted and definitely encourage you to keep trying!

About 7- 8 years I go I used to help carry out inspections with a bat specialist within there habitat and also in the bat boxes we installed. It was a great feeling when you open up the boxes and they had bats in!!! Well done, its good fun, interesting and all well worth it!
