Rainhill, L35 Woodchip tip site

We've a day or two at Rainhill, Merseyside, starting tomorrow - another rush job, reducing and removing some cypresses.

Does anyone know of anywhere to tip a few van loads of woodchip and/or timber locally? Even if we could get one load tipped it would help.

Post or PM me please. Thank you in anticipation. :thumbup1:.

Hi Garry were in Merseyside on the Wirral might be able to pull a few strings for you

I'd appreciate it.

It's a job I quoted (probably too cheap) last January for a developer we'd done a few small jobs for. Planning on the site took a year, so when they came back and being pretty under pressure at the moment, I wanted to turn it away.

I've been over-ruled but still think we're going to struggle to see much profit in the job. Not complaining though, I quoted it so take the blame if I was wrong, but if we can save a bit of time we may snatch a little victory out of the jaws of defeat.:blushing:

You're welcome. I only went on site for an hour first thing to mark out the positions for the tree protection fencing, so didn't get to meet you. I was told the project manager was a bit difficult moving his car to improve access - sorry about that.

I think we will be back on monday to finish up, so if there's any timber left and you've time to look in - fill your boots. Properly seasoned, lots on here rate it for firewood (I don't have a fire:blushing:)
