Take a look at the cycle times, is that really 18 sec forward and 18 secs backward? You may need a good book to read whilst you're waiting for each split to finish !

Is it this type of splitter. The seller is not anonymous and has reasonable feedback. It looks like you pay your money and take your chance PP but if you are handy with the tools and ready to tinker they could be a good prospect.

why go for 40ton would you not be better with something say 15ton tops but 3 times as fast
