How did Gong play? Never had a chance to see them with Daevid Allen...emoji31.png

I enjoyed the gig. It was quite late in the day so I wouldn't trust myself to write an accurate review.

Why's that then?

Well, I'd heard of the band but never really listened to their stuff. I wouldn't know if they played well or not.
I'd been out for food around lunchtime and then went for a few beers with a mate for his birthday. Some guesties for a gig became available, I stayed out and ended up at the gig.
Didn't fall asleep on the bus and wake up in Wallsend either.

Not today, but Wednesday.

Had a reasonably hard morning wrecking out a tree, so by mid afternoon I was lying on the sofa doing feck all.

Phone rings, a woman from a nearby town, a poplar has fallen over in her garden, insurance company want someone to sort it out.

Smelling money, and scratching around a bit for work I say I’ll pop straight down.

Big house by the river, she greets me at the gate and as we stroll round the back I suddenly get crippling pain in my stomach, and I realise there’s a very real danger I’m going to shit myself in an explosive fashion (in a pair of light colored cotton jeans) right there and then.

Somehow or other I hold on for the few minutes I’m there, sweaty and almost incoherent I write out a quote and get out as quickly and politely as possible.

Get in the truck, drive down the road, get out, scramble into the woods and unleash devastation behind me.

In my haste I forgot to bring the tissues from the truck, I luckily find some tissues in my pocket, but that’s where the luck ended as my thumb went through (the horror!)

I got the nod for the work so a bit of a mixed bag of a day as they say.
