Looks a fairly good shout for pfeifferi.

 

 

Did you try scratching the top surface, to see if it had the tell tale 'bees wax' coating?

Naaa, sorry David, couldn't get my hand past the PC screen to check, that's why I went fer adspersum :001_rolleyes:

 

Not a fungi I've encountered much...or maybe I just have realised I have :confused1:

Yeah, I'd say these are pfeifferi.

 

Young developing australe and applanatum don't have that lacquered/reddish colour, like these ones present.

 

Give it a scratch if you come across them again
